Welcome back to Bank Aussie K arena in beautiful hot Springs, Arkansas.
We got the heavyweight six a boys state title on the line.
Springdale and Bryant both teams making it to the big dance for the fourth time Brian sandwiched in this one.
And Springdale looking for their first.
And with that we say hello JB Brazil alongside my good pal Bobby Swofford.
Bobby, we've already had one really good game today.
This one should be good as well.
These two teams have been in the top three in the rankings all season long.
Bryant getting healthy at the right time.
We'll talk about why they're in the championship game.
Of course Springdale they've got a star studded lineup.
Absolutely they do scores up and down up and down.
But you go back earlier the game today Fort Smith North Side and Fayetteville both those teams perennial powerhouses.
It was a good one.
How about 29 combined state finals appearances for the Lady Bears and the Lady Bulldogs?
But it was Northside for the ninth time since 1999.
They captured the state championship.
That's also the most ever in state history.
Those nine titles for Fort Smith, North Side, Ricky Smith and the Lady Bears continue to get the job done.
So you look at what's coming up, the final two games today, it's the one a girls first one, a boys to follow 6 p.m. at 745.
Earl got both the boys and girls season.
It's a little sad as we see the only three games left on the bracket.
Nine championships down.
It's been a fun weekend here in Hot Springs, but don't go anywhere.
We've got a good one in store for you coming up.

Well, it's always special to make it this far.
You got to have a little luck.
You got to be really, really good.
Springdale got the buy to begin.
They're starting to the state tournament, and then they went on to the next round.
Played a little Rock central after they won a 17 point win there.
They handle business in the semis against Jonesboro by 13.
And they got one more lap to claim their first ever state title.
Bryant's the last one in the way.
And they got a guy who's really, really good Isaiah Isaiah Seely.
He's been leading the way for them.
Yeah he's a player that's been the eyes on him for several years 17 points, five rebounds, five assists.
He signed to play for the Razorbacks Isaiah Seely the straw that stirs a drink for the Bulldogs.
The keys for Springdale on this one.
They cannot let Bryant get going from deep.
The Hornets a little streaky as a shooting team, have to be able to contain them from the three point line.
And of course like every game you got to take away those second chance opportunities.
Can't give up those cheap second chance points.
Bryant also got a first round bye in the state tournament.
They took care of Bentonville in the second round by 21.
Keller Robinson got healthy right later in the season.
He's been on a tear.
They beat Harvard by 13 and now they got to face a RedHawks.
Springdale who has not lost in the year 2025.
Kelan Robinson is the guy to watch.
You mentioned Kellen Robinson missed most of the season, only played eight games this year, but already a 20 point score in his career, averaging 26 points per contest, five assists, four rebounds.
Bryant is going to lean heavily on Robinson, but how are the legs?
As you mentioned, the short sample size of the season, the keys of the game got a pat on the glass.
Springdale has got so much size and length across the position.
Our every position got to be able to keep them off the glass and then control the pace.
Springdale is going to try to push the tempo.
Can they control the tempo of this contest and play at their speed and not cater to Coach Burnett?
And with the RedHawks, we're getting closer to the tip of the six AA state title game to win rock starting lineup Springdale with a heavy loaded lineup Malik Sosa, Jackson Conley, D.J.
Hudson, Isaiah Seely number 30 side Bates.
They've got size.
That could be an advantage for them.
They've got shooters.
Bryant.
They've certainly got shooters.
Kamari on Bede.
His older brother Cameron Hunter played the Division one level.
Caitlin Robinson his older brother K.K.
they come from a family of athletes RJ Newton, RJ young, Ryan Young.
That's the five starting for Bryant today.
We've already talked about the great championships that have already been played.
This really has been a fun weekend of basketball.
Every single title game seemingly been close and we expect this one to be much the same.
Yeah, these two teams have just been the heavyweights of six a basketball in Arkansas this season.
You add Jonesboro into that conversation, but with the health improving for Bryant and getting back to full strength, you knew there going to be a tough out in the state tournament.
Obviously they get the number one seed after little Rock central knocks off Jonesboro in the final game of the regular season.
So that puts them opposite Springdale, which was big as the state tournament was on the Red dogs home floor.
Springdale gets through Jonesboro and now we got some high level towns.
We've seen some great matchups already this weekend, but then you see these two teams score off.
And it's not surprising that the heavyweight one, heavyweight two duking it out for a title.
Bryant coming to the matchup.
They're 20 2A9 Springdale 29 and three.
And Bobby we can't go on without announcing this big time for these two fellas.
Yeah two of my coworkers at the Arkansas TV Association celebrating 44 years of service to high school athletics, student athletes and schools in our state.
And I can't say enough thank you to them for everything that they've done.
It's really easy to go out there and work for yourself, but to go out to work for others in the betterment of the youth, of our, of our state is a big deal.
Congratulations to Joey and Don as they're going to retire at the end of the school year.
They did a lot, laid the foundation for this whole thing.
The starting lineups for Springdale getting announced.
Brian already had theirs as well.
Getting closer to tip and we already talked about the keys.
This one so highly anticipated.
There's D1 talent all across this for today.
There's going to be some youngsters as well.
They get this display there and throughout the tournament Bobby we've seen a lot of that right.
We've seen the senior slay big.
But we've seen some young guys really really step up.
Yeah we really have.
I mean you go up and down the lineup I mean you've got college signees.
It's got offers really for almost everybody in the starting five for both sides.
We talked about Kellen Robinson.
You mentioned Kamari and been you know RJ young 20 points eight rebounds a game for Brian.
He's another player that's going to get things going for Springdale.
You got players up and down the roster scoring double digits Jackson Connelly averaging 12 is adding nine and D.J.
Hudson 11.
So even if you do shut down Robinson even if you do shut down Sealy, they have enough weapons to get it going.
And that's why these two teams are a combined 58 and six at the largest classification against the best competition Arkansas has to offer.
We already talked about Springdale haven't lost in 2025.
All three of their losses came back in the year 2024.
They're undefeated.
They won the King Cotton Classic and they have been red hot ever since.
Rolling through.
Everybody brought their losses have come to some good talent too.
They've lost to a lot of teams that have made it into the state title game, a few that have won it.
So both teams playing at a very high level.
How how did the teams handle the moment?
Obviously Bryant's been here.
Springdale was here a couple of years ago, lost to Jonesboro.
Now how do they handle the moment this arena does funny things to two teams.
We've seen it time and time again, not only this weekend but going back years.
Who settles in first?
Who handles the nerves?
How do they handle any kind of adversity?
We'll talk about the Springdale coaching change that happened late in the year.
We got an interim coach for the Red dog.
So there's plenty of adversity that these teams have had up to this point.
But it's a whole different stage today.
The bright lights, statewide television, a lot of eyeballs on the Hornets and the Bulldogs.
And we're getting ready to tip it off here in Hot Springs.
A little bit of the calm before the storm.
Just about it for the opening tip RJ young for the Hornets at midcourt.
Getting set to jump center.
It is D.J.
Hudson for the Springdale Bulldogs a referees for today's game Garrett McDonald Carrie Smith and Colby Burnham.
And here we go.
The balls in the air.
And we are underway in the six state title game.
Springdale will control the opening tip, looking to set up some offense.
How do they control Sealy early?
That's going to be the question for Brian's defense.
Cannot get the best player in the state according to the rankings.
Go Sealy nice long pass to his big fella Hudson high up over the window.
Couldn't get that one to go.
And nice into your defense there for Brian.
Go straight up.
Don't commit the foul.
That's going to be big for Bryant.
No Kevin Robinson with his first touch of the game for the Hornets.
Their first possession.
Looking to run some offense through RJ Newton.
The six four senior.
Newton found an open path go straight down hill but it's blocked and he locked it off his knee.
Good defense from behind Malik Sosa I think that drive right there is a good indication of what Brian's going to see all day long.
You may win that first step I think you blow by the defender.
And all of a sudden all those long arms and long bodies from Springdale start to converge.
They force a turnover.
So Springdale defense comes into play.
They force the miscue.
They'll have the basketball still scoreless.
50s into the six a state title game.
Seely trying to go based on his cut off.
Nice pass on the baseline a lob back out to seal.
He still looking to set the Kings up.
Right wing triple in and out.
No good offensive board though.
Conley with the left hand scoop shot.
Got it to go.
Springdale strikes first.
Connolly was looking to give that ball up off the block and realized the defense was a little too a little left handed underhand flip for the first points of the game.
Bryant looking to respond with the basketball.
Ryan Young gives it off to Kelan Robinson.
Thought about the three.
Now he drives in on the right wing Cameron Bede he doesn't have anything Robinson in the corner.
Shot clock winding down.
Bead launches off the front rim tipped around.
Scramble for it.
Springdale got the board.
Ceiling trying to go in the end a little bit out of control.
Perhaps too strong.
Scramble Florida scrum down the baseline.
It's out of bounds off of Bryant trying to do it just a little too much there.
Splits the defenders but too high off the glass.
Maybe jazzed up a little bit as we're less than two minutes into this contest.
Well that's something keeping your emotions in check right?
You get really hyped up for.
This sometimes can be shown on those fast breaks.
Conley's shot will go put backs up, but I think there was a foul first on the offensive rebounds already starting to pile up for Springdale.
Bryant is going to have to do a better job of getting body on body.
The second chance opportunities will feel you.
Jackson Conley, the six six senior, will be at the free throw line, a chance to extend the Bulldog advantage, but he can't connect on the first.
Conley one of the best defenders in Arkansas.
Coach Sealy, the assistant coach, said he seriously means that every coach will tell you Conley is a locked down defender.
Two time Defensive player of the year in the conference and he cannot get either free throw to go, but they get the offensive rebound.
Hudson the hook will go and Bryant strong down with the rebound.
Already three offensive rebounds for Springdale.
But they haven't been able to take advantage of them yet.
Now Robinson down through contact with the punch it on the board.
Little Rock is getting a good one.
That's a University of Little Rock.
Nice finish through contact in the lane.
A lot of people think that Kelan may be even better than cake.
Who was, by the way the OVC player of the year at the Division one level.
Pull up jumper on the right side Isaiah sealing his first back into the game.
They're going to give him to the fans all ready to get going.
That's going to be key right.
Figure out a way to bring some energy into the building.
Still early on five and a half to play in the opening quarter for two.
The lead for Springdale.
It's going to be nice.
Pump fake right hand hold playing.
He got it.
Great job to get the defense going towards the baseline.
Just put the foot down.
Pivot turn easy bucket Kamari on bees.
He's good player.
That one pushed out to Malik Sosa.
He gets it off to side bait baits in the corner.
Trying to go ISO on the baseline guarded by Kaelin Robinson.
Little bully ball around with the hook shot.
Can't go in here.
Defense from Bryant has been stellar in the first three and a half I think that's going to be key right Robinson all the way to the right making the finger roll is good.
But Springdale going to have the quickness to keep Kelan Robinson in front of him.
That's going to be the question.
He's already got two trips to the rim already but he's not played very many games this year.
He came in really late in the year.
He's put up monumental numbers.
That drive from Springdale will go and Robinson's got it on an Al at three on two.
He's going to take it himself.
And he's fouled.
Goes up high in transition.
And he's going to the line Robinson just going to go coast to coast on that trip.
Now going to the foul line.
But Kelan Robinson getting to the ten.
Seems like anytime he wants to finish.
And now for two more to strike.
That's a high IQ play too because you've got numbers.
We've seen a lot of teams in this state tournament week where they've got numbers, and they like to kick it out for a three Robinson skill set.
He knows he's got a chance to get fouled every time.
There's no doubt I mean he's just so quick off the dribble and he can beat you from deep inside.
Puts you in a tough spot defensively.
You've got to pick your poison in the midst Mitchell the explosiveness.
He's got a couple different levels of that.
High school in Arkansas.
Just really, really good really talented player.
One of the best we've seen the last couple of years come through our state.
Coach Abrahamsen talked about his veteran in Robinson.
He said he's such a presence.
Whatever room he enters in, it changes in a good way, and he never sees a shot that he doesn't like.
And he said, I mean that in the best possible way.
He's a guy.
You want the ball in his hands late in the game.
Early here though, in Hot Springs, four and a half to play in quarter number one.
And Jalen Robinson's looked good earning six points.
Hasn't missed a shot from the floor.
Perfect from the foul line.
It's a great start for your leader for Bryant Jackson Connelly for Springdale.
Looking to set up some offense.
They give it away to their playmaker.
Seeley.
Back to Conley trying to go to work with the left hand.
He travels.
Turnover for Springdale.
Good defense in the paint.
Once again I think Conley is going to be more aggressive there.
As soon as he receives the pass he has to go to work a little shot fake.
And that time allows the defense to rally back.
As you just mentioned, JB great defensive side forces the turnover.
And for Bryant that's a must have run.
If you're not going to get the offensive boards as much will clear out those defensive rebounds.
I guess I should say you've got to play good defense in the paint.
Kelan Robinson trying to extend that lead out going straight downhill high up the window.
Thank goodness Kenneth Roberts Kelan Robinson's already dominating here in this first quarter.
Springdale trying to move quickly.
Just trying to answer.
And get a bucket to fall.
It's been a big run now for Brian.
They're up 10 to 4.
Randolph Conley Bates goes into the post.
That's Hudson doesn't have anybody got it thrown away.
Bryant's got a steal fly ball trying to turn it into points into the corner.
Three ball might have been blocked.
Tipped around.
And he gets his own miss R.J. young.
And he's out of control.
Stolen by Springdale.
And in.
And he lays it in.
That's what that leaf is so vital for Celia's game.
Two steps from the three point line.
He's already to the ten team.
He's got four.
This is one of those games.
It's going to be high octane.
Lots of action.
Kamari on be drives inside and he's hacked on the arm.
Three minutes even to play in the opening quarter.
It's our first media timeout.

When you look back at last year's state championship or state tournament.
Springdale, Minnesota.
Bryant Springdale won their first round, but lost to central in the quarterfinals.
Bryant made it all the way to the final loss to central.
They're looking for some revenge.
Bryant would win their second state title with a victory today.
Springdale would win their very first in school history.
Dylan Robinson it's been all him for Bryant three for three shooting Bede on the feet.
His three ball is strong and high to get three down.
Isaiah Seeley.
Kind of lobbed up the oop.
Got it to go.
But a look at moving in transition D.J.
Hudson got up.
Big Springs in the shoes for D.J.
Hudson.
It wasn't the prettiest of finish but it all counts the same when you high percentage.
Look you got to believe those two guys got high chemistry played a lot together.
B going to go in nice bounce pass trying to go off.
But he's fouled good look there Jordan Warren the sophomore heading to the line.
That's the interim coach for the Springdale Bulldogs.
He's no stranger to this venue.
Won a couple state championships at Fort Smith.
North side with a couple players who oh by the way were playing in the NBA right now.
I say to Joe Jalen Williams he knows how to get it done in this building.
Well you got to think that comes in clutch right.
For your guys being able to coach him up for moments like this I mean a lot of it is skill set.
But when you make it this far and nerves come into play, there's a look at head coach Mike Abrahamson.
You know, he's been there quite some time for Bryant 15th year, but he's from Louisville, Kentucky.
He was an assistant at Southwest Virginia and his wife's family's from this Fort Smith area.
So they move back to Arkansas.
And he's been a great coach.
Just trying to find a way to break down the door.
Third finals appearance since 2019 for the first round.
D.J.
Hudson, though, has something to say about it.
And one on the other end, the Bulldogs had a little mini run themselves, A60 scoring spurt and Hudson with the big play and we talked about it in the pre game.
Got to be able to limit the fastbreak opportunities for Springdale that time.
The Red dogs beat Bryant down the floor.
Got a chance for the end one.
Hudson can't get it to go.
Hits the rim twice though.
So Conley's able to get the rebound.
His shots blocked, but Hudson's got the cleanup crew.
Two more offensive rebounds for Springdale.
Gotta clean up the glass if you're Bryant.
Six offensive rebounds already for the Red dogs in his first quarter.
Well we talked about it right.
That's one of the keys for Bryant.
They've got to take those away Andrew Springdale keep doing it.
That's what's going to allow you to to spring ahead.
Hey we're glad you're with this JB Brazile Bobby Swofford the rest of our Arkansas PBS crew.
It's been fun.
Entry pass.
Take it away.
Good defense from Seely.
He's going to pull up in transition.
And in his face it slides off.
And then little bit over the back pushing from side baits.
Give it back to Brian.
That defensive play right there is so important for Springdale.
But that's also where that link comes into the play.
Seeley does a great job of using those long arms to sneak around the offensive player, tip it to himself, and free to the fastbreak opportunity.
When you look back at last year's tournament, Kamari and be Kelan Robinson and Isaiah see they all three made the all star state all tournament team as well as all state.
So for Bryant Rocky going to run this through Bead and Robinson.
And then he's going to need a little help on their side.
They'll get it.
Defense.
Nice jump.
Collapsing.
That's been the name of the game for Springdale here in the early open Sealy nice find.
No look underneath Hudson can't get it to go second try.
And he's headed to the free throw line.
They're making money down low.
Has a great look by Staley to go interior passing.
Just couldn't finish it.
And trying to be a little too fine on the other end.
Tried to thread the needle and the one thing that we've seen during this eight run for Springdale, they've made an adjustment defensively.
They're starting to pack the lane to keep the Kelan Robinson out of it.
And that's it right.
Don't allow him to score from close.
If you give him the three ball you can live with that.
And then on the offensive side Springdale is they've been leaning to D.J.
Hudson man he has put in some work down low.
Sometimes it's the complementary players.
You talk about superstars all the time.
Those role players have a huge impact on the championship game.
There was a rebound pulled down by Bryant.
That was R.J. Newton.
But Springdale ties him up.
It'll stay with Bryant due to the possession.
Arrow.
It's Springdale with a made free throw there up by a trey.
You look at the scoring Robinson leads the way for Bryant.
He's got eight two from Bede.
And that's in.
And then for Springdale seven for Hudson four for Sealy and two for Jackson Thomas.
Bryant looking for some offense.
And it scored in a wild up snap.
Nice fine going down low Warren has it trying to kick it outside.
It'll stay with Bryant.
Springdale active hands though causing problems yet those long arms just closing up the passing lanes.
Bryant handled the pressure really nicely early on.
But really since that media timeout this has been a different contest.
Currently A90 run here packing in the zone.
So you got to see what what Bryant can do.
Either you drive and try to break the zone that way, or you can shoot your way out of it.
But Springdale is going to make it tough to drive.
You got to believe that.
Go bounce pass dangerous.
Being with a shot clock winding down.
Had to heave it.
Not a bad look but couldn't get it to go.
And in transition.
Pass stolen by Caitlin Robinson trying to buy a foul from side base.
Now he goes in downhill finish.
Can't get it to go.
Good defense from Baze.
And then a foul after the rebound by RJ Newton.
It's a great job by Robinson to prevent a run out.
But the Springdale does too much interior defense.
They forced a tough shot.
Here's another look at a great heads up play.
Anticipate the pass but could not finish in the lane reduction pressure applied by Bryant.
Springdale gives it off to their big side baits.
He's going to get it across the timeline with relative ease.
Out of control.
Has to toss it.
That was dangerous.
Still down out of the woods.
Conley breaks it gives it up top.
The big fella baits the three in and out.
No good offensive rebound again.
Going to work with the right hand.
It wouldn't go Hudson another board.
While they don't get a shot to goal.
But it has been the offensive rebound for Springdale.
They've got a 1310 lead after one.

We at Arkansas PBS want to make you a smarter human being with doing that.
We're going to have some trivia questions.
What's the most common points ever scored in the boys basketball game?
In the natural state?
And my first thought would be something quite some time ago.
Think about all the big names that are playing in the association right now.
If you need a hint, okay, one of those players who's in the NBA right now from our state was involved in that game.
Okay.
But that's also a long list of players that that's that's a good point.
You already mentioned Isaiah Jalen Jalen Williams.
Plenty more to go with that Hudson going straight to the paint.
And he is having his way.
Nice left hand baby.
Hook Hudson four of seven from the floor.
Already has nine points.
Springdale is dominating the lane Robinson Heat check off the side rim.
He's going to be last touched by Springdale.
So it'll stay with Bryant.
But the Hornets right now they just have not been able to buy a bucket after the change to defense.
Here's another look at D.J.
just going to work.
Recognize the defense is momentum is going baseline.
Spinning a lane finish to the left.
I've been impressed with D.J.
Hudson into the paint.
Bryant goes get a high percentage look second try and fouled.
That was RJ Newton with the second I guess third try RJ young was the one driving in and couldn't get the first shot.
But if you're Bryant right now you definitely need 1 or 2 of these three.
Need to find a way to stop this run from Springdale.
And connects on the first one.
So he cuts the lead down to four.
Now.
Can't get the second, but he gets the tip in the offensive board.
It's out of bounds off of Springdale.
So Bryant will have it on the baseline just underway in the second quarter JB Rozelle alongside Bobby Swofford.
Glad you're with us.
This one setting up nicely.
It's been a dandy.
Nice inbounds play RJ young with the right hand.
Too strong.
Once again the defense interior for Springdale was good.
Seely lost his footing.
Gives way to Hudson.
They trying to kick it out to side baits for the three.
But good defense on the on the swat away.
You can see Springdale wants to push the pace any chance they can get.
Bryant doesn't want to get in the running game.
We've seen how quick Robinson is but one through five.
You don't want allow Springdale to get the transition game going.
That's why they're tough.
Everybody was moving.
Seely hadn't given the ball for the referee yet.
So now they'll start that five.
He was looking at him like guys what are y'all doing.
Going to play in Hudson.
That one's off the mark.
But we got a foul underneath I think Robinson monogrammed side fades after the miss.
Yeah Bates was going for another offensive rebound Robinson just trying to get a body on him.
Reached out and grabbed him to prevent that opportunity.
So that's the first team foul for either team here in the quarter.
I guess both teams have one I should say Sealy with it.
So far he's only got four points.
Expect back to change.
Kicks it out to Hudson.
Bryant was trying to keep him away from the paint.
Side baits three ball is strong.
And Bryant the long rebound looking cut into that lead a little bit more.
Calm be finesse off the window and he cuts the deficit to two.
No hesitation there B just puts the ball on the floor.
Gets it immediately to the rack.
And the finish.
Conley trying to feed it inside to Malik Sosa but a little bit handsy was a junior Caleb Tucker.
There's that look.
Wow.
That is an explosive play from Kamari on Bede.
1513 Springdale has got the basketball ceiling supposed to go too high off the glass Hudson got the rock.
Couldn't get it to go.
They don't have a third chance inside.
Bates swings it out to Seeley.
Baseline trying to go back down to Hudson.
You can tell the idea for Springdale.
See?
Drive.
Kick it to Hudson.
Find something.
And that way replay will be knocked out of play.
So Seely will have it on the baseline.
Substitution in for Springdale holding plant 17.
We'll check in for the first time for the Bulldogs.
And in Brian Jones back on the floor.
Now for Bryant.
Allin bounce D.J.
Hudson.
Nice work.
Physical pounding his way in.
And that is not an easy finish from the big fella.
I hate to keep harping on it, but Springdale is dominating inside the black paint.
It would oh well when you got the size advantage a little bit why not take advantage of that right.
Gives them a four point lead.
Hudson's having a great game.
11 points for Springdale leads all scorers.
Deep three Robinson launches and he buries it.
Big shot from Kelan Robinson.
If you're Springdale you'll give that up.
That's his great defense.
Hand to the face of Robinson sometime.
Good players just knocked down big shots.
There's not a lot you can do as a defensive player.
Conley gets a nice open lane.
That was a well-designed play.
He couldn't get the shot to go.
But he's going to add to the Free-Throw line to shoot a couple.
Here's another look at Kelvin Robinson that's just not toeing the three point line.
That's logo level 25ft.
Plus Kelan Robinson tickles the twine.
I like that, Bobby.
Local level.
I'll start using that sometimes.
Unfortunately, for most of the games, we call the logos, usually on the midcourt line and not on the hash mark.
Well, as long as it's not copyrighted.
Now how about that?
If you're wondering where that logo is on the floor, Texarkana is 28ft from the basket.
Interesting.
Do you measure yourself?
Yeah.
I told the person who installed it where to put it.
Free throw is good for Springdale.
They're back up by a triple.
Five and a half to play until halftime.
Right.
Trying to go into the interior.
Bede had a good look, but he left it short.
Scramble for the rebound.
What a save.
Bryant's got another possession offensive look they'll send it back up to Robinson guarded by sealing the jump step.
Got an open lane.
That is a thing of beauty from Caitlin Robinson.
Robinson and Bryant starting to handle the physical, physical nature of the Springdale defense a little better there on a mini run.
Robinson's defense not bad either.
D.J.
Hudson he has been the dude for Springdale.
Thought about the three.
Goes into the paint.
Can't get it to go, but he keeps it alive.
You got to be kidding me, D.J.
Hudson.
And then he's fouled.
That man can play in the paint.
Am I right?
Wow.
Hudson is just so tough in the lane.
First opportunity is not there.
He's going to Sky and took the ball to himself.
Just great ball control.
Body control for Hudson.
He has been a problem for the Hornets in the early going.
Yeah.
And what I love from Hudson is his effort two right.
He's athletic.
He's got a high basketball IQ.
He's making his shot.
You can tell he's being locked up a little bit.
He's doing a good job of getting it to Hudson.
The whole team is.
And he is making Bryant play.
They get it into Hudson again.
They look to double floats it up.
Teardrop.
That was pretty I think the one thing that's really impressive you think okay you get Isaiah Seely.
He's going to an SEC school in Arkansas.
He's going to try to dominate the game.
He's giving it up to Hudson because they know that's a clear advantage for the Red dogs.
And there's an elbow from Kamari.
Embiid.
It's pure.
That's a high percentage.
Look that's one thing you're going to have to do against the zone of Springdale.
We've got a good one 2120 in Hot Springs.
And then oh offensive foul moving screen on side base.
That'll give it back to Bryant.
It's been a pretty clean game as far as turnovers.
But the offensive foul going to give it up.
Second personal foul on Bates.
So that's something we want to pay attention to.
As we're nearing the halfway point here in the second quarter.
Bryant trails by a point.
They last lead back in the first quarter when they were up ten eight.
Springdale has held the lead ever since then.
Now Kamara and bead another elbow jumper.
That one's too strong.
And the rebound corralled high by Malik Sosa.
Well Isaiah Seeley his father played at John Brown University.
Originally from Panama.
Believe.
Trying to drive inside gets it knocked away.
His father lived in Miami for a time.
So big Miami Heat fans.
Lee.
But a great player.
345 to play until halftime.
Baseline drive.
They feed it to banks lost control and he's fouled with 339 to go.
And that will send us to a media spring.
Now.
Will be at the free throw line when we come back.
You're watching the Centennial Bank state basketball championships on Arkansas PBS sports.
What's up?
My name is Al Lopez.
In the house.
I live in northwest Arkansas via Puerto Rico.
I've been here since 1994.
They didn't the length Quadra and really, Arkansas PBS is the one that has taught me about this great community that we have here.
And wonderful, beautiful.
So much program in Santa program for children from grown up that can understand that this is a real artisan channel.
This broad.
Master is under written in part by Everett Buick, GMC provides vehicles to Arkansas families and supports local organizations.
Community involvement has been part of our story for generations.
Proud to support the Arkansas Activities Association and Arkansas PBS sports.
More at Everett BGS Macom.
Arkansas PBS like two, 666 of the students on and Off the floor.
And today is PBS student All-Stars.
Kaelin Robinson from Bryant with Mitchell.
He's going to go to a jeweler and play basketball, but he gets it done in the classroom as well.
3.75 GPA.
Congratulations to killing Robinson.
Getting it done on and off the floor.
And no kidding.
And he's not the only one getting stuff done on and off the floor.
How about our man RJ Newton?
RJ Newton is is doing the work on the court for the Bryant Hornets obviously here in the championship game but also off the floor as he's involved in the Arkansas Student Advisory Council as well as the National Student Advisory Council, is one of of about 20 kids across the country who get together with the National Federation of High Schools and give students a voice and make sure that the decisions being made at that national level directly affect him.
He does have the voice of the school getting involved with it, and also has an ability to make some changes.
Wow.
How about his leadership to be a guy?
I mean, you've got to be well-rounded athletically, but also academically.
He's certainly got a bright future.
Kellen Robinson for the tired.
Take the lead for Brian on this trip RJ young fouled out high a little bit too hands he was hold his place and he picks up the personal holding.
It's nice when you can just bring in 65 off the bench and Springdale has got size on top of size and sneak in coach Eric Burnett over there who stands about six foot seven as well.
Jaylen Robinson tough finish.
Couldn't get it to go sealing the board with numbers.
Looks to outlet but he threw another one away.
Omarion bead picks that pass off.
That's a great job by Bede to recognize the transition attempt.
And then he goes teardrop.
Nice.
Threading the needle.
He finds RJ young to tie it up at 22.
Defense leading the offense.
Deuces on the board.
Now Sealy trying to set up some offense.
Gets the screen from Hudson.
Kicks it out.
Plant.
He wants the three.
It won't go.
And he tried to pull down the rebound Brian Young Robinson wants to go quickly amongst the trees with the English.
And he gets it to roll it in spurts.
Kelan Robinson can take over a basketball game.
What a finish to the paint.
I don't know how he made that shot.
My goodness.
Sealy going to go down to Hudson.
He gets doubled up and they jump in.
Jump ball they collapse.
That help defense came on the backside and forced the jump ball defense always going to lead to offense.
Take a look at Bede here.
He picks the pocket and then gets a great dish underneath.
And the finish for RJ young underneath.
Bryant's got a lead.
And the basketball 225 to play in the half.
It has been back and forth.
Both teams have led by a little bit.
Largest lead for Springdale has been find.
Largest lead for Bryant has been six.
Good defense in the corner to set things back up Ryan Young out to Kelan Robinson commonly the best defender likely in the state.
He's trying to guard Robinson.
But it's been a tough task for Marion Bede with that right hand.
Couldn't get it to go.
Good defense from Springdale.
Sealy bringing up trying to go in the end beat the pressure and it finishes with the right hand.
We're tied again.
That's what you cannot allow if you're Bryant you can't let see.
Let go this end.
And without stopping the basketball way too easily for the Razorback commit.
And then Robinson has his pocket pick to the outlet Malik Sosa.
Nice move with the right hand.
And the Bulldogs are back in front.
Little eurostep their arms flailing at the shot.
The steal uses the window of the finish and Robinson driving in is fouled by Jackson Conley.
That's number two on Conley.
One of the best defenders.
The pace is starting to pick up Isaiah Seely for the Red dogs.
And then a little fancy footwork from a league South side to get it done.
The so Springdale up by a deuce.
But Bryant's basketball with a minute 30 in the half will have it on their own baseline.
They'll inbounds to RJ young.
Imagine if he pulled old James Naismith out of his grave and said hey, this is what a eurostep looks like.
This is what your game is turned into.
I think he handled that well.
I don't know about that.
Top of the game.
Bryant for the lead.
It's too strong.
That triple from RJ young wouldn't go.
And Auburn's got a chance to expand the lead a little bit.
Sealy up top.
Connolly toes it up.
Nothing but net from Jackson Connelly.
All eyes were on Seely.
There.
This dish at the county wide open top of the key.
And then Bryant gets three defenders in the air RJ Newton makes it the Bulldogs.
Bryant that is the perfect use of the ball.
Fake there.
Red dogs go flying.
Easy bucket.
Connelly.
He wants another three launches.
Cannot get it to go.
Scramble for the board.
It's plant.
Big rebound goes straight to the rack and he gets it off the glass.
The pace is certainly certain to pick up here in Hot Springs plant with the offensive rebound of the put back.
That's a big play from plant.
Shot clock is off.
So will Bryant hope for the final shot.
And going to be facing Robinson.
He goes straight downhill.
That's too easy for Kelan Robinson 15 points in the first half.
And exactly right.
That is exactly two easy.
Red dogs have a three point lead.
Now it looks like they're going to hold for the final shot.
I got a chance.
If they play it well to be up at least three.
Barring a turnover Bryant wants a stop.
Seely going straight downhill up off the window and cannot.
Oh offensive foul.
Wow.
They call the charge.
What a move.
Sliding in.
That was a 5050 call there off the defender.
Might have been starting to lean back a little bit more times than not.
You'll see that go offense his way.
But they say the defender was set established underneath the bucket.
Offensive foul wipe off Lee.
Wow that's a big stop for Bryant two seconds.
Got to get one off.
Be the launch for the tie at the buzzer.
It was close.
This one has been fun 16 minutes gone 16 minutes remain.
It's halftime from Hot Springs.
You're watching the Centennial Bank state basketball championship on Arkansas PBS sports.

PBS sports.
Better connected together the electric cooperatives of Arkansas.
It is halftime at Bank Ozark Arena.
But don't go anywhere because this is Arkansas PBS.
And here is where we tell Arkansas stories.
Plus, in a few minutes, Christina munoz like you to the Arkansas PBS student All-Stars.
But first, coach Charles Ripley is an Arkansas basketball legend, taking the Parkview Patriots to the state crown five times from 1978 to 1995.
But Coach Rip, as he was known to his players, was admired much more for his contributions off the court.
When I think about Coach Ripley, this is a guy that every day he wakes up, he wants to make the world better with basketball in it.
Three.
Coach RIP, welcome to the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.
He's affectionately known as RIP or Coach Rip, and for three decades, he's knocked them dead as the head basketball coach at little Rock Parkview.
When I was in junior high at that time, your run for you went to high school.
You had to take a vocational, take a couple weeks, go to school, come back.
Counselor comes in and says, Hey, Charles, we just couldn't find anything.
That you said was strength of interest or anything.
I said, yeah, because I'm going to be a coach and be a dang good one.
And then when he coaching questions on that task.
Will definitely be known at the end of the day of being the basketball coach.
I think a two right.
My right hand and my left hand band from Dragon.
Came over 89 real fast.
Me.
He knew he would lose an assistant.
Asked me to come over and work with him.
You know, the rest is history.
If you ever see Coach Ripley and his body style, he's a little short.
Little round, stubby guy.
There's no way he couldn't have been a point guard, but had such a passion about the game that he made that passion his own.
And he came out.
And this players and the records and the championships and all that speaks for itself.
We made a success, a party that when he championships, we will be the last team in.
Porgy and Bess today is basketball there.
You got to understand about those Patriot athletes.
Number one, I stole them.
Yeah, they know what.
He never thought twice about what it would cost to get into a game.
Or what time is band full of aspiring young athletes might come rolling in in the wee hours of the morning.
He has no children yet.
He's been a dad of sorts to hundreds of youngsters across our state.
His thing was, if I create great relationships with my players, those players are going to go out and they're going to perform and they go out and perform.
We're going to win a lot of games and win a lot of games.
We're going to win championships.
I mean, they gave 110% for the year.
You know, you can you can blame them because you're just like a father figure too.
I mean, some of the guys who could afford it man here.
He failed them at night after the game.
The stuff.
He would do anything for you.
You let him let you have his car, man, to go out on a date, all that kind of stuff.
I tried to talk him out.
He can still be here.
He would listen.
You.
He just didn't care.
He was imparting lessons.
He was in part on anything he can give you till the day he died.
And the fact that he probably spent his last night and everything, he got all his players, that was his passion, that was his family.
And he just kept giving.
Charles Ripley has been a difference maker, touching the lives of thousand along the way.
A week before that, I bit bit I did see real, you know, like everything was okay with I was fine.
At some point he he he thanked me more that day than he ever had.
You know, I should I should have cut it out right off.
But I didn't.
You if you can say something to now, what would you say?
Oh, yeah.
I love you, big guy.
And I kept that tradition going for you.
How fortunate can a man be to decide what's he, what he wants to do at 12 years old, and start preparing to do that and get to do that the rest of his life.
Couldn't play.
What an athlete.
But I wanted to coach all my life, and, and and I fulfilled my dream.
Coach rip passed away in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of wins, but more importantly, a culture of caring.
We salute Coach Ripley and all the coaches that bring a human spirit to the game.
Now let's get over to Christina and she's going to introduce you to some very hardworking student athletes.
Christina.
Thank you Steve.

And finally, for the six eight boys, we have Kellan Robinson with the Bryant Hornets.
Kellen plans to play basketball at UAA.
He has a 3.75 GPA and enjoys playing basketball and working out.
Congratulations and keep up the good work.
All right Steve, it is about that time.
Yes, Christina, it is that time.
Let's get you back to Bank arena for the second half.
Right here on the home of the high school basketball state finals.
Arkansas PBS.
Since 1937, the electric cooperatives of Arkansas have been providing power to homes, farms, and businesses across our state.
The cooperatives are member of and work together to serve Arkansans.
The electric cooperatives of Arkansas.
They support high school students and athletics in Arkansas and hope you enjoy watching the state championship games on Arkansas PBS sports.
Better connected together.
The electric cooperatives of Arkansas.
The second half of action is right around the corner as we welcome you back into Bank Ozark Arena, J.B. Brazil, alongside Bobby Swofford.
Bobby, this one too has been close.
Offense aplenty.
What sticks out to you there on the halftime stack?
You don't see a team that's shooting 50% from the floor losing very often going to halftime.
But those offensive rebounds and second chance points really jump out.
Springdale dominated the glass in the first quarter.
The first 4 or 5 minutes of the second.
Gotta find a way to get those red dogs out of the lane for Bryant.
You do.
So pretty much everything else is even, well, the player that's been able to kind of offset some of that for Bryant was Caitlin Robinson.
But for Springdale, it's been the D.J.
Hudson show.
He's doing everything offensive boards, put backs, the whole shebang.
How about this?
Oh, didn't go down completely clean.
But that was a great set up.
13.7 rebounds in that first half for Hudson.
Then you add to the explosiveness of Kelly.
Conley knocks down a triple.
But Bryant as you mentioned Robinson keeping them in it.
Are they they're still within striking distance.
Should be a very entertaining final 16 minutes.
They've gotten a little bit of everything.
The defensive steal here from Kamari and Beef was big.
And then thread the needle to get the big bucket underneath the assist.
And then they get everybody in the air on that pump.
Fake RJ Newton keeping Bryant close.
There's still a one possession game but it's been Sealy and Robinson the highlight guys coming in.
Here's how they fared.
Yeah you know he's always going to stuff the stat sheet six points to assist four rebounds.
Got three steals than Robinson doing it all as well as 17 and four.
You know we talked about how important DJ Hudson has been.
The stars they're showing up today.
And they expect that in the six eight championship game.
Highest classification in our state.
And then you saw D.J.
Hudson.
He had to make that graphic as well because he's been carrying the load for Springdale.
Got 13 points.
Second half underway Jackson Conley with the basketball for the Bulldogs.
They went on a good spurt to take the lead there late in the second quarter.
Sy Bates fading away.
Can't get that ball to go.
But they get another offensive rebound.
That's 13 on the day.
And inside banks off the assist.
Finishes the job.
Hudson picked up where he left off.
Another offensive rebound and a great dish underneath.
And Springdale.
That's their lead I likewise say Betsy Bates kept staying with the two.
Coach said he's kind of the glue of the team.
Reminds him of Dennis Rodman and because of the way he does everything.
But he said he's just got so much personality with, well, that's a great pass, but they can't finish.
And the reason why it was a foul on straight up gets hacked on the arm.
You know, Coach Abramson got in the locker room and started pulled out the old greasepaint, if you will, and had to draw up something to get working against the zone.
And that diagonal pass was executed perfectly from Marion.
Bead couldn't finish in the lane or Ryan Young, but got a chance under the foul line.
Young was one of the three football guys on the team.
He's an energy guy, got great length to coach, says he's got a bright future.
He wasn't on the varsity roster last year either, so he's really upped his game.
A brand football team knows how to win games and championship atmospheres.
They sure do, don't they?
They're trying to let it bleed over into the basketball program.
Back to back trips to the state title games only win was in 1981.
That's the only title Springdale has not won one.
They go down low to Hudson gets the second third try.
Yes.
They're just going to have to put multiple bodies on Hudson down low.
That's just way too easy.
He's able to establish himself in the lane.
Couldn't get the first one to go but a second and third opportunity.
He is just dominating in the lane, coach said.
Hudson's technically a junior, but by age he's really a sophomore.
He is putting on a show.
Robinson they doubled on him.
Nothing easy there.
No breathing room now.
R.J. Newton swung it around.
They want to.
Robinson doesn't have the angle.
Has to drive kicks it out.
Shot blocks winding down.
They trying to find Robinson.
He gets it with six to shoot.
Nice find.
Kickout three ball the corner.
Too strong from our Jay Young and Springdale got the run out sealing the windmill.
My highlight reel for Isaiah Seely.
He gets the run out and you're seeing why the SEC is coming Colin Springdale got their largest lead of the game nine points.
They get it to RJ.
Young ball fake and he's fouled Ryan Young excuse me.
They need that one.
But take another look Isaiah Seeley look out below with the windmill.
Fancy finish at the line boy.
When you see Seeley get an outlet pass with nobody in front.
Get ready to explode because he's about to do something fancy.
Springville is at its best when they're getting out and running.
Brunson a pretty good job of limiting that.
They've even forced turnovers in the first half.
But nobody got back with Seeley.
And he is a human highlight reel in the making Brian Young knocked down the first free throw.
The real story of the game though.
Right now you and I already know this hits the offensive rebounds D.J.
Hudson really in particular as a team.
Springdale leads 15 to 4 in the offensive rebounding department.
They're killing the Hornets on the offensive glass.
And that's led to 15 second chance points.
And you look at the scoreboard with the seven point lead.
It's not very hard for Brian as they steal the inbounds pass to understand why they're losing this basketball game.
Good defensive play.
Can't get it to go.
He's fouled though.
That's a nice move from Kayla Tucker the junior good defense on the inbound.
If they're going to counteract it for Bryant you're going to have to force turnover.
Well if you're giving extra possessions to Springdale with the offensive rebounds now you've got to start taking some of those possessions away by creating turnovers.
I like the idea of going full court pressure.
Get yourself a free possession.
You know, a chance to earn some points at the foul line so far in the game, Bryant only had four points off turnovers until that made free throw.
Now they've got five.
So to counteract the second chance points you've either got to block out on the defensive side and secure the defensive rebound.
If you're Bryant or you got to get the points off turnovers, they go two for two there and cut the lead down to five.
I like the idea of going full court.
Pressure makes Springdale work for everything.
Sealy gets the inbounds Jackson Conley good ball handler gives way to Sealy.
Another good ball handler who beats it across with RJ Newton guarding all the way.
Left hand as too easy for Sealy going to wear copper shoes.
You better bring the A-game to the championship.
And Sealy is showing up well.
He is a talented individual.
He.
Said he's just a hard worker who does all the small things right.
Nice feet underneath.
The defense collapsed and he gave it all for John finishes from the post.
That's a great job by young to see the defense coming over a little pump fake midair and able to finish at the rim.
Conley jump step trying to go up and under.
Counted Jackson Conley.
Conley using the left hand and the personal protector known as the rim.
Finishes on the other side absorbs the contact.
Springdale getting production from up and down the roster as they push their lead to seven.
That was an incredible play.
With his off hand.
He cradle protects it, keeps that ball high on that jump step and then reverses with that left hand.
That is a very talented play from Jackson Connelly.
And it completes the old fashioned three point play up eight now for the Bulldogs.
Brian's got to weather this storm.
Springdale has led by as much as nine.
So what kind of answer the Hornets and Robinson have RJ young lobs out how to Kelan Robinson.
The defensive set up now to try to limit Robinson is somewhat worked.
And an inside contact RJ young went amongst the trees and he was hacked up at times.
You just got to go right at the bully right?
And sometimes Springdale is just too tough inside.
But that time on that possession, Bryant goes right at the rim.
Interior teeth of the Springdale defense.
Another trip to the foul line.
The give that fouled a DJ Hudson.
He's got only one.
So he is in great shape especially being one of the best offensive players thus far for Springdale.
He's been an X factor.
There are two players with three fouls, though.
Malik Sosa Isaiah Seeley is that free throw is good.
Lead to seven 8 to 14.
Now is Bryant from the foul line.
And the team really lit it up for the free throw line.
Springdale is five of ten on the day Isaiah Staley kicks it back.
Top of the key Hudson three off the mark I think if you're Bryant you'll live with that.
As good as Hudson's men tonight.
Oh boy off his knee.
They keep it live it up the alley.
No but he fouled on the way up.
Burne-Jones going back to the charity stripe.
Like the transition game for Bryant.
They force tough possession on the other end and they get it going.
They couldn't finish at the rim.
But Bryant starting to make a living at the foul line.
They're going to be in the bonus for the final 4.5 minutes in this quarter.
So even though they're down by seven Bryant certainly has a chance to curl back into it at the stripe.
I didn't get a chance to see it clear, but I think that ball went off R.J. Newton's leg and then saving it was Tucker for the past.
I believe that's how that sequence went.
Regardless, that was nearly disastrous for Bryant.
Turns into a pretty favorable outcome.
And that's what you need.
You need some of those 5050 balls to start to go your direction.
And that's how you make a comeback, albeit just a seven point deficit.
Now at six after the first made free throw.
Can't get the second one.
And he's got the rebound stripped beats straight up man.
What a play.
That's a big sequence for Bryant.
They get they get the one free throw.
But they immediately rip it away and get another easy bucket.
Four point game is trying to go into and feeds it off the plant.
He'll go to the rack and it's a charge.
The defense stepping in for Bryant.
Oh the crowd starting to get into it.
The Celine County faithful as the Hornets on a run.
That's Caleb Tucker again taking it underneath.
You've got to have guys like that.
And he's stepping up big.
Both these teams playing well 45% from the floor for Springdale.
Still over 50% for Bryant.
Dangerous pass Tucker Tucker's got it.
Trying to go outside kickball violation.
That was Conley.
They were trying to keep it from getting to Robinson.
That's a good game plan for Springdale.
Don't let Robinson touch it a few times as possible.
Is what you want.
The head coach of that philosophy don't want the best player touch the ball with a lot of games.
A lot of people won games doing that.
Robinson.
Nice find underneath and they cut it off.
Jones in trouble gives it back to Robinson trying to bounce.
Pass inside another kick.
Ball violation.
Stay with Bryant.
That six but will have to step aside first.
It's good here in Hot Springs 4238 under four to go in the third.
We'll be right back.

We ask the question, what's the most combined points ever in the game?
An Arkansas high school basketball history on the boys side.
The answer is 232.
Cedar Ridge defeated Forest City 117 to 115 back in December of 2015.
Oh, my guess there had to have been an overtime period or two.
Double overtime.
Austin Reaves, who now plays for the L.A. Lakers, involved in that contest.
Good basketball play.
That was pretty good.
232 points.
Almost got to get to that one today.
Very low horn.
That had been fun to watch.
Yeah.
Nice inbounds play.
The finish at the rim.
RJ Young and don't look now but the Hornets all right.
Back in within striking distance.
That was really well designed out of that stoppage of play.
Well set up by coach Abrahamsen.
Inside Bates trying to go to work for Springdale.
Picks up his dribble.
Has to give it out high to seal it.
We're starting to see the Bryant defensively sag off and help on Hudson.
Now Conley going to work.
Gets the foul and one on the for Conley.
And he's got another trip for a three point play with Brian Sin.
And so many bodies and helping off on Hudson.
Somebody else is going to have to step up.
And what a great move.
Goes baseline absorbs the contact.
Use the window in the finish for Conley and for his good of defenders.
Caleb Tucker has been today.
That one bump kind of got him off balance.
And then he tried to recover and fouled Conley who made the basket trying to make it a five point lead.
He'll get it.
On this played really well.
13 points for the Red dogs.
Got three players in double figures.
Hudson's got 15 leads the way.
13 for Conley, ten for Sealy and then for Bryant.
It's really just been Robinson with 17 eight from beating young Robinson for three.
Won't go beat a big rebound.
He's going straight back up with it.
Can't get the friendly roll.
And then the rebound saved for Springdale.
What a play from Bates.
Sealy trying to go straight to work.
But they kept him from driving inside.
Donnelly nearly lost it.
Kicks it out.
Left wing.
Trimble Dante Jones off the mark.
Brian's got the rebound.
First look at Dante Jones who's wide open shot.
And now it's stripped on the way in.
Oh boy.
It's a charge.
They took it away.
That's foul number three on killing Robinson.
That's a big play with two and a half to play here in the third quarter Robinson has a step on the defender.
But a great job to to step in front by Holden.
Plant takes the charge of direction.
So that's tough boss Jackson Connelly forces the turnover.
And Brian going to take a timeout.
Let's talk about it.
It's big because that would have gone on.
Probably that would have been his third set.
And he's three here for Calvin Robinson.
Thank you miss health orthopedics in sports medicine sports athletic programs and events all across our state.

There's been a lot of good talent for both of these programs that have played in state title game.
Springdale Chris Owens is actually on staff.
He was on the 21 team that lost to North Little Rock when he played Henderson State.
Brian's got a new cam Hunter.
Jake Robinson.
Greg Fowler it's a lot of good talent from for both of these teams.
Notable guys that just kind of laid the foundations and that's why they're here, right?
That's why they've got 29 wins and three losses.
Both teams with identical records.
They make it.
They know how to win games.
They know how to win important games.
Can't rely on just one player to be that successful in the largest classification in the state.
You build the foundation.
Both these teams have really, really good coaches, really good coaching staffs, and that's why they've been in the finals, both of them, a couple times the last few years.
The final 10.5 minutes left.
You're exactly right, Bobby.
And this is what it all comes down to.
Two really good programs.
Again, sprinkles never won one.
Bryant's last win was 44 years ago, back in 1981.
That's the only one that got Connelly.
Has it knocked away.
Jump ball.
Good defense from Kellen Robinson.
And it's going the other way.
It's a great job just to drop the basketball.
Souza hits the floor.
How many times they tell you when you get down low near the paint.
You can't put the ball in the court with a lot of little minions.
Come in circling and slamming the basketball like a moth to a flame.
Robinson off the bounce pass.
That three is too strong.
Scramble for the rebound.
It's beat.
He just wanted it more.
They go back to Robinson.
Amongst the trees gets it to goal killing Robinson back in the score.
His body control is so impressive in the lane.
He got bodies flying all over him at just midair and gets a tough shot to fall on.
The floater from Sealy.
Won't go.
Kicked out to Connelly.
Hesitates launches in and out.
No good.
Got got to let that fly immediately J.B. the hesitation I they cost him I think you're exactly right now Kamari and beat quickly can't get it to go trying to scramble for that rebound.
It's going to go to Springdale off the jump ball.
But a really nice effort from RJ young to try to get that board in for Springdale.
The pace is starting to pick up the field.
Goal percentage is starting to fall to kind of wonder how the emotions for these two teams may be.
Starting to feel the legs a little bit.
Another stoppage of play time out, but these teams still have a lot of timeouts left for the minute.
38 to play in the third quarter so far.
Bobby again, another really close contest.
What is he like so far from both teams.
All right I think Bryant's in a much better job on the defensive glass here in the second half.
They played limited their touches for Hudson.
They're running multiple bodies that the big man for Springdale.
So they're starting to close that gap.
It is in the lane.
Springdale dominated so much inside.
And they're having to work things.
They're having to knock down jump shots.
And that's allowed Brian to get back into it.
Springdale on the other hand they haven't got as much from Hudson here of late.
They've had to find other ways to score.
And Conley has been that guy here in the second half 13 points four of eight from the floor for six from the foul line.
But it's not just a score.
He's got five rebounds to go along with an assist but he's getting it done.
I mean he knew you knew that was going to have to happen.
You know Robinson and Sealy and Hudson and Newton or any of those are those are the players that are got you here.
Who are the role players as we've seen it so many times.
It's not the superstars that are winning a championship.
It's that 1 or 2 plays here and there that can get you to hold that trophy.
I think you're absolutely right.
Who steps up to the big moment?
We've seen some young freshman and sophomore and juniors all across the board.
Big, really big shot down the stretch in this whole week.
Right now, who's going to try to take the edge?
Robinson has had a good game.
Hudson's had a good game.
He's had a good name.
Look back up and down the lineup for both teams.
They've got guys that have really stepped up to the occasion.
For 45 to 42, Springdale got the lead with the basketball.
Donnelly down to Hudson trying to get him back in.
I like that shot ball goal but he's fouled.
We talked about how he's been held in check of late.
They go back to Hudson.
It's a great job by Eric Burnett and his staff to recognize that Hudson hasn't had too many block touches in this third quarter.
And you establish they're coming right out of the timeout.
Gets the foul.
Now to the stripe.
He's one of three for the charity stripe today.
No make it two of four is the first one.
Go finish it.
Those are the little things that you don't recognize.
And you know you know we can sit here and talk about it.
We just sit back.
We don't have the emotions of all for the coaches to recognize that and immediately draw something out of a timeout and create something.
It's what makes those coaches on the sideline so important.
Wow.
Springdale got an offensive board and it's taken away.
Bryant tries to go in transition but it's knocked away to slow it down.
And I think you're right.
In and in games like this coaches are really going to have to make sure every possession they've got things drawn up the way they want.
You can't take any timeouts with you either.
So expect more to come as this game rolls on.
Nice play into the paint.
Will go second try.
Yes.
R.J. young, the junior you like the just to stick with it ability there for R.J. young first one doesn't fall in position for the easy back.
It's a two point lead now for Springdale.
Neither side has really ever taken control of this game.
Seely he's fouled.
That was just.
His biggest.
Looks like it might be an active shooting.
It will be some free throws to come.
Nice job on the other end for young to stick with it.
And now Springdale is in the bonus.
Both teams going to be shooting free throws in the last minute.
So didn't matter if that was a shooting foul or not.
It's got a pair.
Good call there.
Beads got three fouls.
Now he was the one that picked up the personal bonus time for the rest of the quarter.
Both teams will head to the free throw line with any foul.
Free throws are going to be big in a game like this.
We've already seen a lot of them today.
Oh, Staley goes 1 or 2.
Tipped around Bates has got the offensive board.
They go back to Sealy.
Spin move.
Can't get it to go.
Tipped around and Bryant's got the board.
That was big.
That's a great defensive contest there by Caleb Tucker.
Now Robinson tried to throw it up out of control.
Catches a break.
It's off of Bates.
He wasn't able to save it.
So Bryant will have it on their own baseline.
A lot of control from Robinson.
Gets it up with a nice play by camera guy down there.
201 handed snag.
Robinson open lane kisses it off the window.
Robinson's first step is just so quick and dynamic.
It's hard to keep killing Robinson in front all the way to the rim.
He's been quiet here in the quarter, but now he's got 19.
The way he's so explosive and then so soft, playing it off like a pillow on the backboard.
That was fancy.
Now Staley looking to take the final shot.
You want it in his hands.
Oh.
Kicks it out to plant instead.
He's fouled on the way in.
It's going to be free throws either way.
Big break for Springdale.
You can see Coach Abramson on the other side saying why there's 3.5 seconds left.
You've got the basketball out of his hands.
That's what you want as a defense.
And he gave up an easy foul on a reach.
Plants got two big free throws coming right here.
Can't get the first one to go to.
The best he's going to be able to do is give Springdale a two point lead.
Bobby on the day a lot of 16 for the charity stripe for the Bulldogs.
Both these teams leaving a little to be desired from the stripe.
Missed them both.
Big gets the rebound and he's fouled.
That's free throws for Bryant.
Both teams with a little mental lapses late in this quarter.
Yeah that that's a play.
You can probably live with it.
Your Springdale you're going up for a rebound.
They've been so good on the offensive glass.
You like the aggressiveness but you have to play within control.
That's right guys we're walking down 94ft to the other end.
Free throws with just 2.5 seconds left in the third.
Those are both plays for both coaches that sure you like the aggressiveness but ones that you got to think, man, y'all got to be able to make sure that you don't do something like that right?
Oh boy.
The miss free throws are starting to pile up.
Springdale is eight of 17.
Bryant nine of 18.
Wow.
Both teams less than 50% from the foul line.
They're leaving a lot there.
This one though to tie things up.
Bede gets it to go 47.
All passes intercepted.
Tucker for the lead.
Got it to go back is open it because he garino.
What a play.
Heads up defensively to step.
Being like a free safety just picks it off.
And it may be Saturday but somebody is behind the teller window.

Caleb Tucker big defense.
But it was offense that ends the third quarter.
Wow.
How many times can you say it's going to be the role players who make a big play Caleb Tucker haven't talked about him much all game.
But the junior with the defensive play in the half court heave gives the Hornets the lead.
You go back to the final three seconds.
It was a four point swing for Bryant.
Springdale was found at the line.
Missed both free throws.
They get the rebound.
Does Bryant make a free throw and then knock down the three to go up by three to begin the fourth and final quarter.
Bean with the right hand.
Got it to go.
What a swing and momentum.
The Bryant crowd really hadn't gotten into it, but all of a sudden the Hornets have a five point lead their largest of the contest.
Spring.
Does this try to find an answer here Isaiah Seeley up top Jackson calmly he's been good.
Conley through the lane.
It's a block.
Tucker couldn't quite get position.
Conley beat him to the spot and he draws the foul.
Not bad defense there by Tucker.
But he didn't go to the floor to try to draw the charge there.
More times than not that's going to result in a defensive foul.
And we'll see how important these free throws are as both teams have been struggling.
Shooting from the 15ft line.
Both teams have a little bit of foul trouble.
Two players with four fouls.
Now for Springdale.
That's Bates and Sosa.
The free throw is good from Conley.
And Caleb Tucker is going to have to go out now because he's got more fouls as well.
He's the only player with four for Bryant.
He's been a good defender to lock in.
Buckle up for the last seven and a half.
This is going to be some really entertaining play calling.
Gets them both from the free throw line.
That was big for Springdale.
Back to a one possession game.
Kamari be he goes downhill himself with a left hand.
Fancy beans.
Been pretty quiet on the offensive end, but a nice job to use the physicality to get all the way to the lane.
Conley three ball.
Bowser for the corner.
Can't leave Conley open.
The shooting guard showing why he's got that.
This title.
Knocks one down from the corner.
Big time shot from Jackson Conley.
Robinson the stutter step.
Couldn't get it to go.
Springdale A chance to tie or take the lead.
Nice.
No look.
Play it gives it back off to Conley and they'll reset.
This has been a dandy.
We still got 643 to go.
Swing pass into the corner.
Knocked away by B.
Good defense.
We are starting to pick up the pace here.
Bead all the way to the ten.
Finish with the left hand.
But Conley says I can do that.
Plus one triple from the three point line.
Hudson trying to go to work.
They look to double it.
Bully ball straight inside.
Can't get it to go.
Bryant pulls down the rebound.
That's his big boy basketball right there trying to use the strength to muscle it up.
Defense did a nice job of containing that force a tough shot jump step bead spin move.
But he traveled.
That's going to give it back to Springdale.
The jump step and the spin.
Not in unison there.
Turns it over.
It's really tough to do once you plant both feet without traveling.
Springdale with the basketball.
Bryant up by a bucket.
Seeley for the lead.
Too strong for the rebound.
Pulled down by Bryant.
Trying to get on the back side.
Nearly got the steal.
Bryant gets the pressure.
Hesitation corner feed.
Now it's RJ young.
Catch your breath.
This has been a good one.
Marion beats Cameron nearly lost it.
Now he's fouled.
Two tight defense from Conway.
Jack Jackson Conway picking up three.
Foul trouble aplenty on both squads.
You know you want to turn up the defensive intensity.
But you have to do it smartly intelligently and that time commit a foul 35ft away from the basket.
With the shot clock already halfway down.
Kelan Robinson.
Looking to extend the lead for Bryant with a right hand high off the glass.
Gets it to go.
Robinson with the blow by sealing that first effort just so quick.
Got to find a way to keep him contained and out of the lane.
Connelly fouled from behind from Kamari and Bede uphold.
And once Big Baynes now got a foul.
So both teams have two with four fouls.
Yeah he did not like that call.
He was going for the back tap there.
And Coach Abramson is going to take a timeout to settle the troops a little bit as they've got foul trouble of ruin for both sides.
Well you think that four point lead is safe.
You got to be kidding.
This one has been back in fourth.
Neither teams really ever been able to establish control of the game.
It's been very very close.
Bryant's up by four but points have somewhat been hard to come by.
They come in small spurts.
Speaking of spurts, spurt ability is the best word you can use to describe Kelan Robinson.
He has done it all afternoon long.
Ten of 16 from the floor.
He's got five rebounds, but he seems like he can get to the lane and to the rim any time he wants the body control.
And yeah he can knock it down from north east Texas.
According to that map, the state of Arkansas on the floor, but not technically from the logo.
That right.
It's right outside the logo from downtown.
So it's Springdale basketball.
Not surprising to see what Kevin Robinson has done.
And obviously it's disappointing to see most of his senior season cut short because of injury.
Playing only eight games this year but averaging 26 points a game.
You can see why he's a top three player in Arkansas.
But coach Hampson talked about that three different teams throughout the year.
Football guys were out.
Ben Robinson's out till February.
He's had to coach three different phases.
They're here in the Big dance Hudson.
He's been quite a player but he's back in with a nice play.
Yeah they offense was flowing through Hudson is when they built their lead.
I like to see Springdale go back to that as they cut it to two.
Robinson going straight in against Soso.
How about the defense salsa.
He's got four fouls and he blocks Calvin Robinson off of him.
Great job defensively just to get a hand on the basketball and force the tough shot.
And the ball goes off.
Last time by Robinson.
Good call by the officiating crew.
The leads to now for Bryant Hudson trying to tie things up.
Bully ball trying to pass it off.
Bodies everywhere scramble for it.
Still loose.
It's a scrum.
And finally Springdale is able to corral it.
They call timeout.
What is happening?
A rugby scrum broke at the middle of the six a state championship game.
Every possession is so critical.
Head coach Eric Bernard able to get the timeout from the sideline.
There's a reason you save your timeouts for later in the game.
That's a big one.
Springdale still got plenty of timeouts left to.
We've seen some tight finishes late in games with timeouts have really come in handy.
Four left for Springdale two for Bryant.
So both in good spot right now but still 445 to play with every possession.
The intensity is just starting to inch up higher and higher.
Of course, not only are the tensions in the huddles high right now, the tension in the arena is starting to mount with every waking moment.
And how about a little ball kid down the way putting in some good work?
They did a great job all week long helping out with the referees, keeping them hydrated.
Are you having a good time down there?
I think that's what it's so great about the basketball finals here in Hot Springs.
It's a family affair.
Doesn't matter for 3 or 319 years old.
If there's someone 319 years, I want to meet them.
Maybe Methuselah, maybe watch it somewhere in the arena.
Oh my goodness.
5654 still 445 to go Springdale with the basketball.
Their last lead, if you remember, was back in the third quarter with three seconds to go when that three ball was knocked down.
Now the inbound to Conley.
Sealy going to work against Robinson who's in a little bit of foul trouble fading away.
That one's left short.
He's got the board I think that matchup we're going to start to see a lot of four on 30.
Sealy versus Robinson Robinson the no look bounce pass up and under.
It's blocked by Sealy.
Good defense.
Robinson with the blow by.
But the help got there for Springdale.
Sealy a little bit out of control saves.
It keeps the play alive.
Plant jumper for the tie.
Too strong.
Beat the board.
Scramble.
They're letting him play in.
Bank of the K. It's a jump and it'll stay with Springdale bodies all over the floor.
Every loose ball so important.
Sealy with the nice dish but plant can't get it to go.
Then the scrum ensues.
We're starting to see body on body.
I thought it Springdale might have stepped on the line there, but they say the possession was tied up before that happens.
Reset the shot clock.
That's Burnett directing traffic.
Looking for a big inbounds play to get an end to Staley.
Now the deal tipped away out of bounds off Connolly.
Bryant basketball passes a great job by Robinson to recognize that sealy's the safety valve.
As the clock is starting to wind down that mental clock to get the ball in and Robinson just gets a hand on it, deflects it out of bounds.
Last touch by the adults.
Bryant looking for a little bit of breathing room on this offensive possession.
Defenses have really clamped down big time.
They've got a lot of shot blocks a lot of takeaways here in the last few.
Robinson nearly turned it over.
Keeps it alive though.
Newton out of control.
It's going to be the last touched by Springdale.
349 to go to claim our six state champion.
It's 5654 Bryant.

It's unfortunate that there's only going to be one winner someone's going to have to lose.
This has been an incredible six eight state title game, one for the books.
Come on.
Beat pulls up right hand high off the win.
Now get it to down.
Come on hurry up.
It's a great job to put a little arch on that.
You know the defense is there.
Find a way to finish.
Springdale looking to answer again.
Ceiling splits.
The defense kicks out.
Connelly.
One more.
Left wing pulls up.
Three in and out.
No good.
The shot from Malik Sosa off the mark.
Robinson going quickly.
Steps to the side.
Gives way.
Jump snap.
Oh Geo.
Off the window to right side to pick up the pace.
Springdale going to take a timeout as the Red dogs find themselves down by six.
It's the largest lead of the game from Bryant.
How about this from Kelvin Robinson to RJ young.
All eyes are on Robinson and rightfully so.
But they lost track of young.
The dish on the baseline and the finish.
How big is Kelvin Robinson been today offensively 23 points ten of 16.
But I think I've been more impressed with Kellan Robinson.
Is his ball distribution and basketball IQ.
It's always it's not always the first pass.
Of course, the assist numbers may not be there today, but he's a complete facilitator as well as he is in the score.
He gets his other teammates involved.
It's because so much attention is given to number 23.
Excuse me.
Number four in the white uniform, all eyes is automatically kind of suck towards him and his teammates do a great job of attacking the basket.
That time it was RJ.
And you're right though it's allowed number 23 Kamari Beak to open up a little bit because he's our second leading scorer on number one of the playmakers right now.
Springdale.
They need to find an answer.
Who they going to.
I think you got to go start with Hudson as well as he's played as dominant as he's been down low.
Of course you've got Isaiah Seely who's always a threat to me.
I try to go inside out here.
As much as Bryant's been running a double team at Hudson, maybe that's gonna leave a shooter open.
Three players in double figures for Springdale.
Conley and Hudson both have 1811 for Isaiah Seely.
Brian also has three players in double figures Kelan Robinson leads all scorers with 23.
Kamari on beat.
He's got 15 and RJ young double digits.
He's got 12.
Here we go.
Three minutes left in the contest John Lee lobs it up Alex Sosa lost the basketball and he fouls.
That's going to be his fifth.
And Malik Sosa's days done.
Oh my goodness I hate to turn turnover.
You hate to foul.
But that's actually a good play by Sosa.
That's that's going to prevent an easy run out for him to be able to track down that loose ball.
It's going to be a run out with Sosa done for the day when Malik Sosa has had a good game and it's not necessarily showing up on the stat sheet.
He's been a glue guy, doing a lot of the small things, a really good pesky defender, a lot of rebounds.
He'll end the game with only two points, but a lot of rebounds, a good facilitator and a physical player.
Bryant with the basketball trying to call a timeout.
Oh my goodness Kelly Robinson he dives saves and calls a timeout is going to be kidding me to do that all in one motion.
This shows the athletic ability of Robinson.
So the Springdale coaching staff don't like it as they don't think he had possession to be able to call that timeouts.
But either way the call goes away and the Hornets.
I don't know about that one that's going sometimes you get a look at the break that time.
Bryant certainly got one.
As they get the timeout awarded.
Will Robinson out of near the baseline.
In a game like this early in the game.
But this one more in particular every possession is crucial.
They one they'll take a timeout doing that type of right now if it comes down the stretch they've only got one more time out.
But they save the possession.
They'll take that every time.
Yeah they've got 24 seconds here on the shot clock so plenty of time to work it.
We haven't had housing in a position to get anywhere near clock violation tonight.
And maybe teams maybe Bryant with the lead.
Now be a little more methodical and try to get shots going toward the basket.
And you know that's part of the controversy.
A lot of different people think you keep putting your foot on the gas pedal to your waist.
Some block here.
That's a good question.
We'll see what Coach Hanson elects to do.
There's a little bit of controversy.
Two was he out?
Did he have possession?
Did he call timeout.
Bryant catches the break.
Perhaps they have the basketball upset six off your Bryant here.
You do want to work a little block but you don't give up good looks.
Sure there's still too much time to to say hey I'm going to bleed it down.
So if you've got a good look go ahead and take it.
Now I like that look.
Get the points up there.
There.
Maybe not.
Some do a little bit too one.
Right.
They go in the paint RJ young he's had a good game.
The junior baseline tried to kick but he stepped out on the baseline.
Did they foul in first.
I believe they did.
That's on Hudson Ford Hudson had good position there.
But as soon as Bryant got to the baseline tried to nudge him out of bounds, got whistled for it.
Just the third team foul against Springdale.
But more importantly, it resets the shot clock to 35 for Bryant.
If they want to milk a little clock they can Robinson not milking clock.
It's blocked in the baseline.
Some good defense from Springdale.
They need a bucket ceiling kind of go into and jump step right hand feeding the roll back to a four point game.
You feel like Celia's got to try to take over this contest for Springdale.
They're double team and Hudson.
And when he gets the ball on the block Isaiah Seely the Razorbacks on.
He's got to take control.
And Springdale is going to win this game.
Coach cow got to like that play from Sealy.
He's getting a good one.
But you're right going to need to start emerging.
They've been clamping down on him defensively.
The same has been said of Robinson.
They foul on the push down.
They tried to go back out.
I think that might be on Conley.
That was just the fourth team foul.
Regardless, I think he was first and they're going to give it to banks.
He's fouled out of the game as well.
Also, a pair of players have fouled out for Springdale.
Conley's got four as well, so foul problems for Coach Burnette and company.
Well actually they just waved that off.
They had originally called him on Connor.
So now he's only got three.
That's a break for Springdale.
Unfortunately he Luci Bates though.
60 to 56.
Kelan Robinson guarded by Jackson Conley for starting number four out of bounds.
Oh Kellen Robinson what a defensive play Robinson did not like to call.
But the officials right in front of the play and a great defensive job by Springville gets themselves a possession.
Could make this one-score game.
Very big possession a minute half.
Oh boy.
Bryant gets the steal.
Kamara indeed runs the ball up and under.
No on line one.
It's a great job there on the floor by young.
Sometimes the trailer benefits from it for the shot and Sealy.
But the putback.
Springdale has got to get offense.
Nearly lost it.
Sealy trying to save it.
We got a foul underneath.
That'll be the third foul on Bryant.
The boy.
Springdale has got to find an answer Bobby.
Here's a look on the other direction.
The Springdale does a nice job getting back defensively alters the shot.
But young Johnny on the spot.
The easy put back and pushes that Bryant lead back to six.
Bryant's largest lead all game has been six inbounds to Conley.
It's guarded by R.J. Newton.
Out of bounds turnover.
Springdale gives it away with a minute to play.
The Hornet defense is doing a great job of getting in the passing lane and being disruptive of the Springdale flow.
Burnett takes a timeout for the Red dogs.
And now you have to start to think when do you start giving up fouls.
It's in to the foul line.
The Hornets are in the bonus of the next one.
We'll put them to the stripe.
But do you do you have enough confidence to stretch it out?
38 fouls have been called in this contest.
Wow.
It has been a physical affair.
Bryant fans love it if they feel like they're in a good position.
What do we talk about coming into the second half?
Bryant had to amp up that pressure forced turnovers.
They've done that to offset the offense they really have in championship moments.
The championship mentality has to arise and the defense has done that for Bryant.
They've got the passing lanes.
They got their hands on the basketball making things just uncomfortable.
Nothing easy for Springdale has come in this fourth quarter.
And that's why even though the Red dogs have made a couple of runs at it, the momentum has never been shifted.
The other way since.
We saw the three pointer at the horn in the third period.
Springdale need to stop quickly, right?
You got to think about fouling if you get the ball back.
Bryant's got three players with four fouls.
Kelan Robinson come on beat and Tucker try to find one of those guys out right.
That's got to be part of the plan.
So the question for Springdale is you go ahead and give up the foul now and play the long game and try to go two for one.
Hope Bryant struggles at the foul line.
Continue.
They're just ten of 18 from the stripe.
Or do you go ahead and play this out with the shot clock.
Obviously you're gonna get the ball back.
But that's going to cut this game in half.
If it's me, I like to roll the dice with the free throw line.
If you can't get a stout, steal a foul fairly quick.
Maybe once they get across the timeline Bryant's got it in.
They it Robinson.
He'll get it across.
Got a foul.
They do plant fouls him.
Probably not a bad foul because Bryant has plenty of numbers.
It will come down to free throws with 55 seconds to go.
And Robinson heading to the line.
Robinson a perfect two of two from the stripe today.
Now you've got to start thinking okay who do you foul.
Not just that you're going to foul.
Yeah.
Bryant's going to clear out in the paint.
They're going to get back defensively.
What a game it has been.
Largest lead of the game for Bryant has been six.
Robinson's got a chance to expand that.
Misses the first.
We'll get one more one more one on one in high school basketball season was just making sure it's right.
I think that's why you like the idea of fouling early.
You can extend this game and go two gives you more time to go two for one.
Because the best case scenario generally is they're going to make 1 or 2 like Robinson does their seven point lead largest of the day for.
But Springdale got to go quick.
Jackson Connelly trying to beat this pressure.
They go into that zone.
Sealing to the lane.
Nice speed Hudson out of control.
Throws it up.
No good.
Bryant's got the rebound.
They got a foul Robinson.
And he's going to the free throw line to Lee.
Did a great job of getting into the lane.
Dishes it off to Hudson Hudson has got to go up immediately with that basketball.
The pump fake allowed the defense to converge and force the tough shot right there.
Go up with it immediately.
Can't put the ball on the floor.
And the shot fake cost him.
And the Hornets have a chance to really put some distance between themselves and Springdale.
So he did a really nice job to get that look there.
Hudson just lost it when he went up.
I think you're right.
If he goes straight up I can feel it.
Looking for their second state title in school history first in 44 years.
Robinson misses the first.
It's still a three possession game with 41 seconds to go, and you're getting what you want on the other end.
As far as Springdale fouling Bryant.
They're just they've missed two of their last three.
Obviously Robinson has one more.
Gotta be able to convert that into Lane.
If there's Springdale you're not done yet.
But you're going to have to have a lot goal right eight point lead.
Now Bulldogs desperately need a bucket.
Need it quick.
You don't have to have a three but you got to score quickly.
Sealy straight up got it to go.
Big shot Konate.
He's got a chance on a three point play.
If that's mid first quarter I don't have a problem with taking a charge there.
You've got to be able to understand the moment.
Give up the easy.
Layin two points is not going to beat you.
But you allow us a chance for a three point play.
And more importantly, Kelan Robinson just fouled out of the contest by trying to take a charge.
Wow.
That could be monumental.
And you listen to the Bryant faithful.
They're given a lot of round of applause for Kelly Robinson in his career.
25 points and just an outstanding player that Bryant the last couple seasons started Episcopal finishes his career.
And Matt Bryant one of the better scorers we've seen in our state the last 10 or 15 years.
Younger brother of Carson Robinson and K.K.
Robinson, free throw from Sealy.
Got it needed it.
Five point game.
Springdale.
Not done yet.
Hey inbound trouble in the corner.
Picks it up.
Tries to lob a timeout or a foul call.
Just to give a foul to Hudson.
That's his third Durham almost led to a turnover.
That foul comes in and saves Bryant.
Stinger for a little bit.
Happen which did their job.
That's well but I'm sorry I had to get it is one count today RJ Newton big free throws up coming.
Can't get the first one.
Free throw struggles is allowing Springdale to stay in this contest 12 of 23 from the foul line.
Wow.
The best he can do now is make it a two possession.
It'll stay a two possession game six point lead.
Springdale again got to go quickly.
Don't have to have a three necessarily.
Seeley back to Conley.
It's stolen one out Ryan Young off the glass.
It in back to an eight point lead.
It's falling apart for Springdale.
Conley the three can't get it to go.
Battle save from plant.
Springdale has got to throw it up.
Still loose.
Bryant's got it.
They can feel it.
Come on Bede falling down throws it up.
No good.
The rebound the put back.
And Bryant for the second time in scoring history the first time in 44 years.
They are your six state champs.
The teams flood the student section.
And coach Mike Abramson finally gets the gorilla off his back.
He's a state champion coach for the first time.
Bryant wins it 6959.
The final score does not indicate how great this game was.
Wow.
A thriller from Hot Springs comes to an end and we'll have our trophy presentation.
We'll also talk to the MVP head coach as well.
What a ballgame.

When the students of the Rock walked along, the mom, you cried with them.
But we had to walk it alone.
It kind of tells a story about how we used to live.
We loved it very much.
Back in Arkansas, in the cotton farm, number one choice for this ballot was Daisy Bates.
It looks like Johnny Cash walks the line.
So congratulations to those two great Arkansans.

Blue collar Americana.
That's tough.

You're planning.
You want your secrets?
I trust my team.
Who's the fun in that?
Oh, you have exactly.
No.
So, what are you ladies traveling today?
The plot thickens.
Why do you just run away?
Because I'm carrying a gun.
Look at me.
You ain't seen nothing yet.
Drop the gun.
You drop the gun.
This was perfect.
And you.
Welcome back to Bangkok Arena.
The Bryant Hawks, A68 boys state champs.
A second time in school history.
First in 44 years.
They won him back in 1981.
Coach Abrahamson and company getting the job done.
Final stats for tonight's today's contest 6959 final.
Bryant wins by 1,054% from the field.
But that literally came for the turnovers.
Only ten turnover for Bryant.
But they forced 18.
And they turned it into 24 points.
And they win the battle in the paint 50 points on the day for Bryant.
And they take home the hardware.
We're here with head coach Mike Abrahamsen.
Coach congrats.
Thank you on a big win.
You know we talked on the phone earlier this week.
You've been here 15 years.
You built this program up.
You've been to this game three times.
What's it feel like to finally take it home?
Amazing.
You know, in the lobby, your coach and you get into education and coaching and things like that to help young people and to see that right.
There is all I've ever wanted.
It's coaching.
I can see them.
Not for me, for them.
I wanted to see that.
Coach, I talk to you too, about guys.
We wanted to highlight that.
That laid the foundation for this.
Some of the guys in.
And K.K.
Cameron, Hunter, Cameron, Hunter, people that you've never heard of, the coach Jordan and Clint Marlow, Braylon Steele, Roman Martin, Calvin Allen.
I mean, Sam, Charlie.
I could go on and on and on and on and on.
It's it's there's a long list of people that deserve this.
Thank you for this.
I know you're getting choked up, and it means so much, but you already alluded to the what it means to these guys.
I want to talk about Kellen Roberts MVP.
He's out most of the year.
Didn't go the way that he wanted to.
The standing ovation at the end.
How big was it for you to see that for him?
You know I've I've coached three Robinson's and I've never coached a person like Kellen.
He is such a presence in whatever room he enters.
And there's something unique about him that everybody knows it, and everybody feels it.
And, that was just a sign of respect and admiration and appreciation for what he gives, which is his all.
He's got blood all over his jersey.
We sprayed it and he had a bloody nose.
He had a bloody mouth and would not, would not consider coming out of the game.
He's a warrior.
Well, coach.
Such a special moment for you.
Don't want to take away from our team for too long.
So go celebrate with those guys.
I know it's emotional for you.
Once again.
Thank you.
That was coach Mike Abrahamsen.
We look at how this thing ended, all the highlights throughout.
It was the Kellen Robinson show throughout.
He was stuffing the stat sheet.
That three right there at the buzzer to end the third quarter from Caleb Tucker was a monumental to say the least.
And how about that.
The diving save the timeout from Robinson.
Do you think these guys were leaving it all on the floor.
They absolutely were.
Bryant with the scrum the effort.
Springdale with a valiant effort just down the stretch late.
It was the turnovers.
This one to put the game to bed for Bryant as they win it 6959.
And we're here with our player of the game Ozark College player of the game MVP Kellen Robinson.
Kellen congrats on a big win.
I want to go back to something for you right.
You got four fouls effort diving on the floor making plays all game long.
But you foul out your fifth foul.
I'm sure you didn't love that.
But you did get a cool moment.
The whole Bryant faithful stand up cheer for you.
What?
What did that moment mean for you, man?
I'm into, like, my team.
We came a long way, and I know I fell right there, but I trusted in my teammates and I knew that was going to come out with the win.
So, hey, we started.
Feeling like you could get to the rim any time you wanted.
And then that opened up some things for your teammates.
Talk about your drive ability and obviously the plays you made, the length.
Like I said in the last interview, two my teammates trusted me and my coach.
Trust me, they didn't want me to settle.
So I got to the rack and if they came in, I was move, pass it out.
So yeah, that was the game plan.
Season didn't start the way you on an injury not getting to play till February but you were lights out.
You get the win today.
Talk about that.
But also you get to play with your brother at little Rock after this.
First of all, I just want to say thank you to my, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Without him, I'm nothing.
It's a great buildup.
I'm proud of my team.
Proud of my coaches.
And I know what's up, man.
I can't wait to play with him.
He can't stay on my head, so I'm ready.
Yeah, he's he's a good big brother.
He's got to.
Right.
He's got to play.
And congrats on a big win.
First title a long time for you guys.
And that's our Osaka College MVP player of the game.
Robertson.
Congrats.
Go celebrate with your team.
Thank you.
Thank you can celebrate with Bryant by getting your official championship memorabilia from image one.
Just go to Arkansas High school sports.com, the Bryant Hornets, for the first time in a long time are your basketball state championships there turn into an athletic powerhouse and Selene County.
What a dandy it was.
Bryant the winner 6959 over Springdale.
But we got two more left.
The nightcap on a girls west side and Earl going to be duking it out followed by the one a boys.
Also Earl will be in that one, so should be a lot of fun with those matchups.
But for today, that's going to do it for our six state boys basketball broadcast.
So for my partner Bobby Swofford and our wonderful crew at Arkansas PBS all across the line, they've been phenomenal all week.
I'm JB Brazil saying so long from Bangkok Arena.
