Good morning.
From the Spa City, or better known as the volleyball capital of Arkansas.
At least for today, as it's the centennial Bank State Volleyball Championships presented by Everett Buick GMC.
We're inside Bank Oak Arena for the five day state volleyball championship between Greenbrier and Shiloh Christian.
Welcome to our broadcast vantage point.
I'm Bobby Swofford alongside Cierra Clark and Sierra.
This should be a really, really good matchup between two quality broadband price cut teams.
Yeah I'm excited to see these two go at it.
There are two teams who have very different strengths, and it's going to be really interesting to see how back goes up against each other.
Let's take a look at how these two teams got to the championship match, starting with Greenbrier coming from the bottom side of the bracket opened up in the state tournament with a three game sweep of Lake Hamilton.
Then they were put to the test in the next two rounds.
It took five sets to handle Farmington, and then an epic showdown with two time defending state champion Benton.
Greenbrier also won that in five sets, and that sets up the matchup today with Shiloh Christian in the championship.
And a big reason why Greenbrier is here is a play of Madison Crum.
Yeah, Madison Crum is committed to Missouri State, and she is someone who is really going to be strong on that offensive front for this team.
And when Greenbrier took down Benton, I just thought was just a huge confidence boost for them.
And Madison Crum was a big part of that win.
548 kills on the season for Crum.
Now for Shiloh Christian, no stranger to playing in the state championship match.
Let's take a look at the path of how the Saints reached hot springs here today in the opening round.
Well, they didn't have quite as much trouble on their side of the bracket.
The Saints took it the mountain home in three games.
Second round.
In the quarterfinals, they also swept Mount Saint Mary's.
And in the semifinal state power of Valley View.
Again, no chance against Shiloh Christian.
Another three game sweep for the Saints.
Big reason why Shiloh Christian has been so successful 33 and four on the year.
That's almost Ole Miss commit Bella Bernardo.
Yeah, Bella Bernardo is an extremely powerful leader on this team and is really strong on that defensive front.
And it's going to be a real big key for Shiloh.
Being able to take down that attack from Greenbrier.
But nano has got 551 digs on the season.
As I just mentioned, she's committed to play at Ole Miss, but now she's trying to cap her high school career with a state championship first serve and take a look at the coaches coming up.
Be sure to lock it in all day long.

First championship match on tap as Greenbrier taking on Shiloh Christian for the five AA state title right here on Arkansas PBS sports.
Again, welcome back to our broadcast position, Bobby Swofford alongside Cierra Clark and Greenbrier, looking for their first ever state championship in school history.
Shiloh Christian looking to add number three, but also erase some bad memories from this building.
The last couple seasons, Shiloh Christian lost in the championship match each of the last two years to Brooklyn's.
They're looking for state title number three.
The most recent came back in 2017, leading the Greenbrier Panthers as coach Katie Huff.
And she's no stranger to this program.
She took over when this group of seniors were seventh graders, and she has watched them rise all the way from a five and 22 team last year, just three and 11 in their conference.
And now this year, 21 in the eight, 16 and zero in the five central and back here in the Championship match.
More on Katie Huff coming up a little bit later in our broadcast here.
What do you think are some keys to the game are as we're getting set for the five AA title?
Yes.
These teams have really different strengths at Greenbrier, a little bit more strong on the attack front, but the Saints really show them up on the size and experience and the strength of schedule that they've had this year, so it'll be more of a mental challenge.
I think, for Greenbrier this year.
But high as anything can really happen at the state championship, lots of emotions involved.
We're underway.
Shiloh Christian quickly on the attack, maybe a little too amped up as that attack sails long.
Greenbrier takes the first point of the match.
It's where Greenbrier is.
Ava Gardner getting things started.
There.
So Greenbrier opens up a one nothing lead here in set number one in Hot Springs.
Shiloh Christian has to put over her free ball after not handling the serve.
So Greenbrier a chance to take advantage.
And they quickly do the slide piece from the right side quickly put down by Sidney Hester.
Another example of that Greenbrier offense really just coming together.
We spoke a lot about Madison Crum, but just the entire team as a whole knows that this Shiloh team is a really strong defensive team.
They have to do whatever it takes to get some points there for their.
Hester came into today's Championship match with just 45 kills, but they get her involved early.
And now that is Madison from coming from the left side.
Greenbrier quickly out three nothing.
Yes, Madison Crum she's actually committed to Missouri State.
And you're going to see why she's a Division one committed player, just because of her athleticism and how she was able to leap over there and get those kills.
Shiloh Christian's handled plenty of these moments the last couple years, but how do they handle falling behind three nothing early as we're trying to get the ball from the crew down there.
We need the ball to play volleyball.
They tell me at least.
And you speak on those bad memories, Bobby, and it's important for them to kind of remember those, but also not let those moments define them in a moment like this, because they don't want history to repeat themselves again.
Greenbrier again on the attack that one tipped at the net.
And this trickles over Shiloh Christian a little luck there.
Layla Creighton puts the Saints on the board.
Madison Green tried to block that there, but Shiloh got the best of them right there.
So Shiloh on the board, it's three one.
Creighton on the service line for the Saints.
Late arriving crowd here in Hot Springs.
First match of the day.
By far the longest rally we've had up to this point.
But Shiloh Christian and Chloe Blessing finds a little open space.
Back to back points for Shiloh.
That was a really good sight.
That blessing got right there.
No one was.
It was a lot of Panthers in the area.
But blessing found that nice, sweet, open spot.
In order to get that kill.
Get ready for some runs today.
That's what this sport's all about.
How do you handle punch?
Counter punch is pretty much the name of the game.
Throughout the trip there for Greenbrier.
Shiloh got lucky a minute ago.
This time the Panthers that was fortunate in.
That was a perfect example of but not a great communication point for Shiloh.
Looked like they were a little bit confused at the net on who was going to do the protection right there, and Greenbrier took advantage of it.
For two Panthers out in front, a quick set for Shiloh and tapped away.
Carolyn Read with the kill.
That Kylee Brianna tried to get to get them on the defensive point there, but that was a nice play right there by Shiloh.
So for three, Greenbrier has the lead and Shiloh on the service line and that's an ace.
Perfectly.
Plays can't be handled.
Blessing gets it into the ace column.
Now Chloe Blessing an absolute blessing for this team right now.
Really showing her strengths and perfect ace.
Five nine junior outside hitter tied the match up at four.
Let's see.
Shiloh Christian started Subtle in Greenbrier, trying to answer back.
The big swing from Crum, though dug out much.
Passing just a bit off that went into the net and the Lady.
Panthers back out in front five for.
A real great defensive effort right there by this Panthers.
Great block.
They don't have the size, but they have the heart to really step it up defensively, especially when they play lower to the court.
Yeah Shiloh Christian definitely has the size advantage as far as height is concerned today.
Tack for the back row can't be handled.
Chloe blessing again with the big points for Shiloh Christian.
Yeah Chloe Blessing just a really strong outside hitter she has.
She's just very powerful and that's really what's necessary to be a good at that position in the sport.
Ten points in all squaring up.
The slide again works to perfection Ali Fullmer.
With the put down for Greenbrier.
Yeah that was a really good call by former there Shiloh.
Try to go close it around and save that one.
But Greenbrier did the did what they did best.
There and had some issues with the ball on the right end of the court down there.
There's a lot of open space.
So if you want to come track down some balls here today, come on down, buy a ticket, be here all day.
All five matches.
A quick set for Shiloh Christian snuffed out by Greenbrier.
Now Lady Panthers have a chance to attack Shiloh defense.
Perfect rotation though they're starting to see a little luck.
That net little loose ball just trickles over and the put down.
Give it a Reese Jones for Shiloh.
That's right.
Bella Bonanno also doing a roll.
Well on the ground there.
Sometimes you see the ball hit the tape and fall straight down.
Today we've seen three strike that tape and trickle over.
Something to pay attention to today.
A free ball goes the way of Shiloh Christian Aubrey Pender with the big kill.
Shiloh also doing a good job keeping it away from Madison Crown.
One of our players to watch earlier or just really giving her some struggles.
There.
Seven three run for Shiloh Christian.
But that quickly comes to an end.
Is that service attempt goes wide.
Yeah, that was a little bit messy for Shiloh.
Again, tied up at seven.
These two teams pretty evenly matched in the early going quick set in the center there for Shiloh Christian but couldn't be handled by the Greenbrier defense.
And put down on the second opportunity from Pender.
As Audrey Pender, the middle blocker, six one middle blocker from Shiloh.
She's a really good defensive awareness.
She has a really strong understanding of the positioning and how to block these opponents hits as well.
And just also really quick in transition.
Pender, a big force for the Shiloh team, came in with 330 kills on the year.
It's also one of the Division one commits going to Western Illinois.
Daisy Jones attack sails long on the Greenbrier crowd and their coaching staffs that they wanted to tip.
No call though, so points to Shiloh.
Greenbrier crowd Dylan pretty nicely across the way from us.
Tough call right there.
Tip attempt goes to the way of Greenbrier.
That one might have been going long, but a little too close for Paige Addington to let go for Shiloh.
And Greenbrier takes advantage with the point.
Yeah, that was a tough one.
So now kind of trying to just stop those runs because it seems like one team goes in a run and the others goes on a run.
And so just kind of trying to stop the momentum for other teams having.
Such a split second decision, whether to return that or try to let it go, see if it's going to go long, that time might have made the wrong decisions.
The big swing there from Chloe Blessing right into the block of Greenbrier, but they couldn't handle it.
And she gets the kill.
Yeah.
Blessing just showing out really well this game.
Look at her go using that powerful pump pump part of her hand to get that one to going.
Block a little too far away from the net.
Allowed some space for that ball to find a hole.
Ten eight Shiloh Christian leading Greenbrier here in the five title game.
A lot of sorts for both of these teams here on this rally.
If one of these offenses can settle in and get a good attack back row attack there from from dug out quickly though for Shiloh Christian, the attack in the middle.
That's Caroline read.
That hit the pin.
Coach Katie Huff wants a little discussion, but that's going to be a point for Shiloh Christian.
You'll see the two pins of the antenna on each side of the net.
The ball does strike out before hitting a defender that is considered out of bounds.
And this is going to be a really good look at it.
Yep.
Oh that's close.
That's a closely a close call.
It does catch the pin.
Coach Katie Huff not a fan of that call.
Yeah.
That's got to be a really frustrating one if you're Greenbrier.
Oh replay and volleyball in the state of Arkansas or the country for that matter is that's going to be an ace for Shiloh Christian.
The momentum certainly swing in the way of the Saints.
Yeah.
Beautiful ace right there by Shiloh.
Well Audrey Pender with the ace her 43rd of the season.
Remember, I tries to settle the nerves, but the attack from Mia South all goes long, and Greenbrier wants to take a timeout, settle the nerves, so we'll step aside with them.
Lady Saints have a 13 eight lead.
Don't go anywhere.
You're watching the Centennial Bank state volleyball finals on Arkansas PBS sports.
And it's officially the birthday of the Northwest Passage trip.
We realized that, you know, no one's ever actually wrote this thing in one season.
You can be the first ones to ever do this that way.
It's one of those few places over the year, truly wild.
How far can we take this?
And when does it become crazy?
Thursday night at seven.
One.
Two.
Three.
It's going up in.
Welcome back.
Inside Bangkok Arena is the five day state volleyball championship between Shiloh Christian and Greenbrier.
Let's take a look at today's officials.
The two line judges, Patty Hill and Dan like off our two referees, Pam Allmendinger and Brad Clark.
So Shiloh Christian jumped out to a 13 to 8 lead.
They've scored six of the last seven points in this contest.
After we tied at seven.
Now it's just trying to see if Shiloh can keep that momentum going here.
Well, out of sorts are both these teams on the attack.
So it's a free ball.
Over.
See if Greenbrier offense can take advantage.
The tip.
It's not there, though.
Greenbrier coming out of the timeout trying to settle the nerves with that attack again.
Goes long from South Southall.
So call it A71 run for Shiloh Christian.
We talked a lot about the defense from Shiloh Christian, but I've been really impressed with their offense.
Some different players that they've had, such as Audrey Pender.
You're seeing right here Chloe Blessing and the way they communicate with their teammates.
Back row attack from Crum right into the net.
And so Greenbrier starting to see it's kind of slip away.
Maybe the nerves catching in the 15 eight Shiloh Christian in front here in the opening set.
Shiloh is playing great volleyball.
But it seems like Greenbrier is just making a lot of mistakes.
It could be just nerves, like you said, or just the exhaustion starting to really wear in, especially when you're playing back and forth like this, how they have been playing with all these runs.
The serve of Pender certainly has something to do with this big run.
She's been on the service line for quite some time now for the Saints.
That's what Greenbrier needed, something to go their way.
Finally, Southall gets it, gets one down for the kill.
Yeah, that was a real pretty one.
Right on that corner on the side there.
It was just tough for Shiloh to get that one.
Mia South all 191 kills on the season.
That second best on the team.
Let's see if that starts a spark for these Greenbrier Lady Panthers dug out nicely by Mobley on the back row.
And that attack sails wide from Shiloh Christian's Caroline Red.
So back to back points for Greenbrier.
Maybe the timeout came at the right time for the Lady Panthers.
Definitely kind of.
That was a great time for them to take that time out, because it seemed like Shiloh had a great run going and just time for the Greenbrier to kind of get things going and see what they can do quick.
They're not not there for Shiloh Christian.
Yes.
That one sails long for Greenbrier Point back to Shiloh Christian 1710 advantage.
That was a good call for eight to go in to really dodge that ball and not touch it at all, because she would have touched it and they would have, I wouldn't have they wouldn't have got the point.
They're certainly one of those 5050 balls where you got to go, do I go for do I let it go out?
She made the right decision there.
Crum.
That's always the right decision for Greenbrier.
I go back to the hard hitting right hander for another kill.
Her 550th of the season.
Yeah.
Madison Crum is definitely really scary in the front end zone there.
The way she leaps up is insane.
As you mentioned, she's committed to play at Missouri State Division one at the next level.
Real strong outside hitter where you really need that athleticism.
Jumping ability is a big part of that.
Crum try to go cross court with that, but got on top of it a little too much there, right into the net.
So it's 1811 now.
Shiloh Christian.
Seven point advantage for the Saints.
That service attempt, though, goes long from blessing.
Is just a little long.
Two teams starting to settle in, fans starting to kind of meander their way.
And of course, one ticket get you in all day.
So crowds do nothing.
Make it bigger and bigger as we continue on.
A great day for volleyball.
Short drive for the folks from Greenbrier.
So do expect a big crowd from them as they've shown up.
Conway, another former county school up next in the six eight title game.
A lot of volleyball we played before then, though, right?
From her attack looks dugout these two teams with the nice rally going.
Back to Crum.
Her attack blocked the net, but it trickles out and kill for Madison Crum.
That was a nice one.
Bike from.
Is really just going to start feeding number 16 in blue.
She's the a straw that stirs a drink.
You got to go to her often.
What I love about Madison Crum is her versatility, and she's just capable of hitting the ball from different angles.
That service attempt from Lily Parker tried to catch the side, but misses the line side out.
Point back over to Shiloh Christian.
There's Bella Bernardo.
The Ole Miss commit.
Crumbs attack that one.
Caught a little bit of the net and sails wide as well.
So start the countdown for Shiloh Christian 20 to 13.
Five points needed to take this opening set.
Shiloh is showing that they are.
What I'm really impressed is of their communication right now.
They've really stepped it up.
Talking on all sides of the court.
Wow, that was the scary one by Madison Crum.
The way she just leaped out there, found a spot.
You can see the power from Chrome, a double block set up from Shiloh Christian, and she just hammers it through forearms and gets the point.
She has a great vision on where to send that ball.
Since 2014, Greenbrier trailing but Madison Crum on the service line for the Lady Panthers.
She has over 500 kills this season.
Nice dig on the back row for Mobley.
Quick set in the middle.
That's tough to contend with.
The Greenbrier does everything they can.
They get it over.
But a free ball for Shiloh here.
Incredible effort by Greenbrier there.
But just they kind of shot themselves in the foot a little bit right there.
They had a great effort.
But then they kind of touched the ball when it was going out.
Aubrey Pender with the kill there.
2114 Shiloh Christian with four points away.
As we take another look at it, we'll step aside.
Lady Saints trying to take the opening sets here.

Marley Crossman with the kill.
The left handed sophomore gets the point for the Lady Panthers coming out of the timeout.
Yeah that was really big for them.
There.
See if they can hold down Shiloh as the Saints are closing in on this set.
The slide has worked for Greenbrier that time.
It works for Shiloh as Audrey Pender with another kill.
Yeah.
Audrey Pender, one of the really strong forces of this Shiloh Christian offense.
She has great timing.
And that's really important to be good in these quick attacks.
2215 Shiloh needs just three points to take this opening set.
Tip out there for Shiloh Christian chance for Greenbrier to take advantage of it.
They can't, though.
Dug out on the back row by Thornton.
That one went under for hits there for Shiloh.
So Greenbrier still hanging around trying to claw their way back into it now.
Down six.
Yeah, that was a tough little swing there for Shiloh.
Kylie Bryant's now on serve for the Lady Panthers.
Likely need a big run here.
A chance to take advantage of it for the Lady Panthers.
Rather slide to tip.
It works.
Sydney Hester with the put down.
Yeah, that was a good, good call by Hester.
Can do a replay there.
She just slightly tipped it over.
Just enough for it to get on the ground.
And hard for banana to kind of save that one there.
So 2217 Shiloh still with the lead, but the block right there for the Lady Panthers.
That was Southall.
Return to sender.
Great block right there.
Sydney has.
They're also right next to her.
This defense is really, really good at the front zone for Greenbrier.
Mentioned that Greenbrier needed a big run there.
Starting to get one.
But Shiloh Christian has enough of that.
Chloe.
Blessings with the hammer.
Chloe.
Blessings.
That was something right there.
Real strong outside hitter.
Great jumping ability to.
Perfectly place the ace for Shiloh, Christian and Pender.
And now at set point.
Really important for Shiloh Christian to kind of run away with their first set.
So they know that they can do this as they've been in this state championship several times and have not quite on the block, comes up big for Shiloh Christian.
Caroline Read, the six foot center middle blocker, puts it away for Shiloh Christian.
And that's how the first set comes to an end.
Shiloh wins it.
2518 The Greenbrier.
They've won two five set matches already here in the state tournament.
So this one, far from over.
We'll step aside.
Shiloh has got a lead.

One.
Two three.
Hello.
Is going up in.
Shiloh Christian uses a big run midway through the first set.
Takes it 2519.
What did you see from these two teams in that first set?
The offensive effort from Shiloh Christian.
They had so many players Chloe Blessing, Audrey Pender and just the way the team as a whole communicated was really impressive.
I'm excited to see how they do in the next set.
Today's Everett's trivia question.
Let's start it off.
First championship of the day.
What about the first school to win a volleyball championship in the state of Arkansas?
Actually, Everett Buick GMC trivia question.
Give you a minute to ponder on that.
So do you think it was here?
I have no idea.
There's been so many interesting eras of volleyball here in Arkansas.
A Fayetteville, I know.
All right, well, we'll lock in Sierra's answer of Fayetteville.
We'll check out the answer coming up in just a little bit as Shiloh Christian takes the opening sets.
And that'll be serving here in sets number two.
Of course, Shiloh Christian dropped in the finals the last two years trying to erase that bad taste in their mouth.
There's a good look at Nathan Bowden.
Stein right by his service player, Aliyah Creighton.
They've got bad memories of this place.
They want to try to exorcize some of those demons.
That's going to be a double hit there from Shiloh Christian.
The first hitting error we've seen of that sort today that goes over the way of Greenbrier.
And Greenbrier really needs to get this one going here.
And the second set is kind of a set that really determines where this game will go, in my opinion.
So just like set number one Greenbrier strikes first.
But that service attempt goes long.
So Greenbrier who led three nothing in set number one run stopped at just a single point.
It's interesting because Greenbrier actually and Shiloh are pretty close after that first set when it comes to the amount of kills they've had.
But Shiloh has been really more effective, and the positioning of the ball.
Quick set there to read can't be handled by the Greenbrier defense.
A big kill from the six foot senior.
Size is also a huge part of this game.
Here, but Shiloh has the advantage in.
You mentioned the kills are pretty even 1110 in that first set.
A tip attempt there for Greenbrier.
Not put down Shiloh Christian to attack from the back row.
Perfect tip there, but they're going to say got a pancake?
The hand right underneath the ball.
Shiloh gets the point going.
And someone lost in.
Some miscommunication.
Looks like also Caroline Read lost the shoe right there.
But yeah, lots of miscommunication.
That can be really confusing.
When things are really going into a strong momentum.
You got to be able to lock in and still be aware of what's going on.
For the pancakes.
When you get the hand right underneath the ball right before it hits the floor, just keeps that point alive.
But Shiloh Christian couldn't get it back over, so we're squared up at two apiece.
Make sure you're double nodding your shoes.
That's important too.
That's an ace for Greenbrier.
Lady Panthers quickly strike back Lilly Parker with her 38th ace of the season.
It's really impressive right there.
Greenbrier has actually had a real successful volleyball season as a program as a whole.
There they went undefeated to the eighth grade level.
The ninth grade and the high school conferences.
So Greenbrier volleyball really impressive in 2024.
The future is bright for the Lady Panthers.
Shiloh Christian asking for a tip.
And they get it.
So that one's tipped off.
And that's why I went wide.
So points for the Lady Saints.
Not a three.
And that's got to be real frustrating there for Greenbrier.
Bananas now on the service line for Shiloh.
Block comes up big for Greenbrier.
But Shiloh resets that one into the net though.
So the attack not there for Shiloh Christian.
Greenbrier again back out in front.
And Chloe Blessing knew she messed up on that one.
But what I really like is the way that bananas sets up the the ball for her teammates, for them to have a great opportunities.
Come off the serve for Greenbrier.
Quick set though from Shiloh Christian can't be handled.
Pender with another one in the kill column.
That was a nice win in Greenbrier.
They kind of dodged that one a little bit.
But you know, you have to make those calls and decide if they're going to go for it or not.
Sometimes when it's coming right at you with that kind of velocity, you just want to throw your hands up in self-defense.
Yeah.
Especially with the Shiloh offense.
On the tip attempt.
Nowhere close there for Aliyah.
Great.
And I like the idea, but the execution?
Not quite there.
We're back out in front five, four.
We've been close.
She made that one.
Shiloh Christian looking to square things up.
Nice attack to the back row.
The slide again.
Been successful for both of these teams.
And again, Pender takes advantage.
She gets the the put down.
Yeah.
Shiloh or rather Greenbrier.
The friars been a little bit struggling when it comes to the digs and playing low to the ground there.
It's really hard when you have a strong offensive attack like Shiloh to really take them down defensively.
Audrey Pender leads all players with six kills.
She was the one on that end for Shiloh Christian.
That attack, though, from the back row goes well.
Long from Reese Jones.
Now Greenbrier back out in front.
So these two teams really just trading points in the first 11 here in the second set.
Yeah a little bit too much power right there.
And that last hit.
Is Kylie Bryant now on the service line for Greenbrier.
So who can get that first run of this second set.
Oh so important.
Last.
So was pretty similar.
It was fairly close in the early part of it.
Was nice.
Another big put down.
Audrey Pender, a middle blocker from Shiloh, just slams it down.
No one can even hit that sweet.
She's very quick and just I love how she plays when she is in transition between defense and offense.
Shiloh Christian there.
The attack by blessing.
It's dug out and Greenbrier a chance to respond from heart attack as attack dug out.
The defense is playing well, but the block couldn't get over in front of blessing as she finally puts it away.
Yeah, she's just such a great she's such a great awareness of what's going on and where to send the ball.
I mean, they had two great blockers in front by Greenbrier, and she was able to send it down.
Fifth kill on 12 attempts there for blessing.
Really good serve there.
Greenbrier does everything they can just to keep the point alive.
Quick set there right in the middle to read for Shiloh Christian.
This quickly put away.
That Caroline red also stepping it up offensively.
They have so many weapons on this team here.
It's really tough to go against.
Pender with seven blessing with five red now with five.
That's for the match.
And double hit there for Greenbrier.
So the unforced error again puts a point over to Shiloh.
This is the first real run we've seen here in the second set.
That's four consecutive for the Saints.
Yeah.
So like in the first set it was close for about the first half of it.
And then Shiloh slowly started to break away.
So it seems like Shiloh is really good at reading the other team.
Back to back double hits there.
But the referee is looking for really is the spin of of the volleyball when the spins off.
Coming off of that set that Watts tells the officials, hey, that was a mis hit.
Something they used to call it a lift and now it's just more of a double hit.
You got to be wary of those mistakes because that's what can kill you.
And a game like this.
Block there for Shiloh Christian.
Falls out of bounds.
So Greenbrier able to stop that many run five consecutive points for the Saints.
Yeah that was really big there for Greenbrier.
I'd like to see more from Madison Crum.
This set to.
Haven't been able to get the ball to their big time attacker as of yet.
It's on that attack a little double on that side, but that one into the net from blessing the timing just a bit off.
So back to back points now for Greenbrier.
Now going back to your last one.
Yeah Shiloh is kind of right okay.
We need to keep it away from her because that was the key.
And shut up Greenbrier being close to the Saints in these sets.
That attack again wide from blessing three consecutive points for Greenbrier Lady Panthers after falling down ten six, showing a little life.
Now.
Greenbrier, Shiloh.
Hoping not to make too many mistakes there because that will keep Greenbrier in it.
Shiloh took the opening set and we're back and forth here in set number two so far.
Quick attempt here.
They're going to say a net violation on Greenbrier.
That's going to give the point to Shiloh but more importantly ends at three oh scoring run.
So 11 nines the advantage faithful for Crookston Layla Creighton serving there for Shiloh Christian that's Matt Chrome.
We got some chrome.
That's why you keep it away from her.
A big swing from Madison.
The 511 senior.
They need to get her going.
Her sixth kill in 20 attempts for Greenbrier.
We'll show you this again.
She just hits it so fast and so hard that it's impossible almost to get a dig there.
It splits the block, attempt.
The two Shiloh players going back to Crum again.
She puts it down.
Madison Chrome starting to heat up for the Lady Panthers.
Yeah, Bella.
Bernardo tried to fall on the ground and get that one there, but Crum is just too fast and the way she leaps up and then sends it, she finds that perfect spot where it's just be too difficult to get in the ground and save that one.
All.
Even at 11, the block there for Greenbrier.
Fans for the Lady Panthers here.
They're going to have to scramble though.
A free ball for Shiloh.
Caught in the middle post.
Kept alive for the Lady Panthers.
Crump.
She just gets it over.
Having to scramble all of the Panthers defense quickly put down but dug out from Greenbrier defense showing up for the Panthers.
The block there just couldn't get enough of it.
Mary Carolyn Reese with the put down the five seven junior.
Yeah, that was really big there to dig a hole into that defense that Greenbrier has been putting up in this set.
It's a long point.
You never know how the momentum and the emotions from a point like that going to carry over to the next.
Absolutely.
Exactly how it carries over serve goes long and washes it away.
We're tied at 12.
They've been doing a little bit of those.
They need to keep control of the ball in that point.
They've been doing a little bit too long a serves and giving Greenbrier those extra points.
Volleyball so much about momentum.
Whoever takes the opening set, a lot of times you'll see them winning a sweep.
But Greenbrier has not once but twice won a match and five sets here in the state tournament.
And they get an ace right there.
Now they're quickly back up 1312 back.
Shiloh making lots of careless errors right now.
That serve though wide of the mark.
So that gives it right back to the Saints where it's not enough.
At 13.
Yeah.
Good call.
There.
Crowd starting to filter in now.
I was thinking to myself earlier today, just because, based on the timing of the matches with Conway playing right after Greenbrier, Shiloh may want to try to make quick work before those Conway fans get here.
Yeah, otherwise the contingent cheering for the Lady Panthers are going to get larger.
And that's certainly going to help a big kill from Layla Creighton.
Yeah.
Conway.
Greenbrier not too far from each other.
I saw the Conway players already here giving hug to some of the Greenbrier girls.
So sure, some are already cheering each other on.
Now.
At 1413, Shiloh has the lead and now we've got another double hit.
The third one of this set for Greenbrier will have to settle the nerves.
Got to keep control in a moments like this.
That's always the one call the fans will always chirp about.
No matter.
No matter which way.
It's one of those calls.
It really the officials are the only one who can tell because of that spin on the volleyball right up.
A little miscommunication there from Greenbrier and it's going to lead to another Shiloh Christian point communication.
Communication so important.
That's why you know, you see these players talking to each other all the time.
That's just keys to a good leader.
As someone who's constantly talking to their teammates.
And that's hard in a sport like volleyball, when you're it's so physical and you've got to keep it kind of you don't want to lose your breath.
That's four consecutive points for Shiloh Christian.
Yeah, they've got a 1613 lead.
Let's go back to the trivia question.
We asked you.
Who was the first ever school to win a volleyball state championship.
Cierra said, Fayette, as we give the graphics department time to keep it up, I'm going to say you're incorrect because I wrote that question home the first year.
Volleyball was a sanctioned sport in Arkansas, 1976.
So the Lady Bombers first ever state champion in Arkansas, Mary C Everett Buick GMC trivia question.
We got all those lined up for you all day today.
Shiloh Christian fell behind after a big run for Greenbrier.
How big is this last four points for Lady Saints?
Oh, it's huge for them because they're kind of reverting back to how they were in that first set, finally able to find that momentum they can use to put the Greenbrier Panthers away.
Because again, they all went in the state championship before.
They don't want to go back to that feeling anymore.
They know what it feels like to get first runner up and they want to come home.
A state championship.
So Shiloh Christian has scored the last four.
They lead it now 1613.
Look at some stats.
Are starting to see the kill margin start to skew the other way for Shiloh Christian they've got 21 kills while Greenbrier has just 14 and Greenbrier hitting only 073 on the afternoon.
And you got to get the attack going.
They want to get back into this contest.
That's certainly going to help.
As Madison Crum crosses court and puts it down.
That's right.
And a lot of what Greenbrier has been able to do is really just take advantage of those mistakes that Shiloh Christian has been making.
But when you have Madison Crum making kills like that, it's also going to contribute to your offensive eight kills.
Now for Chrome that matches Pender for Shiloh Christian for the most in the match.
That attack, though, goes wide from Pender.
She's trying to regain the lead.
Back to back points for Greenbrier.
We've just seen these two teams really trade blows.
But who could make that timely run and set one?
It was Shiloh, Greenbrier opening them here in set two.
Greenbrier really trying to stay close here.
One deflected at the net.
Dug out in the back row.
Can't do it on the other side.
Mia Southall with the kill for Greenbrier.
Greenbrier really using their athleticism here I'll show you that part again.
There's Mia Beth second on the team in kills.
Able to split the double team off the block and finds some open space.
And in plays like that, you have to be really confident to know that you can pull that off.
And that's what she did.
A quick set that's really tough to defend is Audrey Bender.
Another put down.
That Aubrey Pender has been a real key in this Shiloh Christian offense.
The six one senior middle blocker.
241 hitting percentage up to this point for Shiloh Christian.
They've got a one point lead here in set number two.
That attack that goes long for Greenbrier.
So again the ruins continue to bounce back and forth.
Greenbrier had scored three straight.
Now Shiloh answers with the last two.
Something else about Shiloh is they move up to five AA this year due to competitive advantage and they really scheduled a tough year for them to play to prepare them for these types of moments.
Coach Borenstein did that in order to give his team the confidence they can to play like this in the state championship game.
So now, okay, we've played these bigger schools to prepare us for this tough schedule that we've endured throughout the season.
Pender with the kill there, 1916 the further year point.
They beat Brooklyn for a finalist.
They beat Valley View twice in the season.
So some quality wins for Shiloh Christian.
But that attack goes wide and gives the serve back over to Greenbrier.
It's got to keep control right there.
So 1917 this was the point.
And Shiloh made the run back in the first set.
That year.
The line there Pender free ball set back over that one though right into the net.
Not able to take advantage of the free ball.
Greenbrier inching back close.
It's 1918.
Now.
Tough one right there by Chloe Blessing.
Just a little too low.
Hit the net.
2518 was the score in set number one.
Greenbrier got a chance to even things up here.
The attack that was blocked out nicely.
Another attempt here for Greenbrier.
A free ball.
So Shiloh Christian chance to add to this one point lead dugout nicely on the back row.
Can they get it over.
Nicely done by the scramble.
Drive for Greenbrier.
The block though.
Just too.
Much.
Really good point.
Both sides.
But Aubrey Pender with another big play on the.
Middle of the net.
Yeah nice team effort right there by Shiloh.
Right there Audrey Pender someone you got to watch out for.
Another long rally goes the way of the Saints 2018.
One quality she really possesses Pender as she just has a strong understanding of like the positioning and where to have.
Those blocks.
She knows where to put it down on the offensive attack as well.
Right in the middle of the Greenbrier defense, it's 2118.
Greenbrier is going to take a timeout, so we'll take it with them.
Shiloh Christian just four points away from taking set number two.
You're watching the Centennial Bank state volleyball finals presented by ever to GMC.
The grind started 11 months ago, and now the ultimate prize it's within reach.

We saw more than 200 football teams start this season, but now only 14 are still standing.
Who's going to take home the ultimate prize that state title trophy?

2118 Shiloh Christian adds to it.
The block again shows up that time.
Layla Creighton had a beautiful block there.
Right into the two defenders and just couldn't power it through.
Creighton with a big stop for Shiloh's defense.
Yeah, that's something moving really would be a key for them to continue that momentum in this game.
But Greenbrier right there an example of their attack.
Also do it.
Well.
They get sophomore again Marley Crossman with the put down.
So 2219 Greenbrier though on serve.
It's going to be Kylie Brighton.
Excuse me Bryant on the service line.
As we track down the ball.
The 2219.
Shiloh Christian they go on the attack and that's just not fair sometimes Chloe blessing with the put down.
Yeah Chloe blessing that was just incredible way.
She just leaps up there.
It was set up perfectly and then found a spot that weren't.
None of the Greenbrier Panthers were.
So it's 2319 Shiloh Christian.
The four point advantage Greenbrier needs to get back into it.
Little soft touch there.
Great effort there.
But again it's just too much Aubrey Pitt Audrey Pender when they need her.
Yeah.
Shiloh Christian right hander just puts another one down.
They've got a two headed horse horseman or horse horsewoman.
Right.
Would you rather hear an Chloe Blessing and Audrey Pender?
Those two are just so hard to stop.
So at set point for Shiloh Christian chance to put it away here.
They set it up on the outside and put down by Chloe Blessing.
So set number two goes to Shiloh Christian.
The Saints are one set away from claiming A5A state championship.
Stick around.
It's 2519.
In set number two, you're watching the Centennial Bank state volleyball finals presented by Edwards.

Let's take a look at today's Arkansas PBS student all star.
It's Macy McKinley from Russellville.
The junior middle blocker as a 3.92 GPA.
And her plans of the future play college.
Also pursue a degree in education or business.
Congratulations to the five student all star Macy McKinley of Russellville.
Let's take a look at the coach for Shiloh Christian, Nathan Bowden Stein.
He has built a powerhouse program in Northwest Arkansas, as you can see him and maybe even us in the background.
33 and four on the season, a perfect 14 zero record in the five A West.
As I mentioned a couple of times, they've been in the finals the last two years, but trying to chase down their first state championship trophy since 2017.
And now they're only one set.
A way of getting it done is we're underway here at set number three in Hot Springs.
And that says so much about this program because they've been in for A and other smaller classes before.
And now they're in the five A and for them to win their first state championship since 2017 potentially in a bigger classification shows that what what Coach Bowden State has done in this program and the confidence and the culture that he's instilled in the Shiloh Christian volleyball program, they've always.
Been one to the challenge.
Anybody they don't they don't shy away.
And that's what I really like about volleyball in the state is you look at the competition, was that one sails long and Greenbrier has got a two nothing lead.
You look at the teams in the finals.
They've all played each other no matter the classification at one point or another this season.
Greenbrier place played Paris which is A3A school in the finals later.
But later today are the best teams.
They know how to find each other.
Obviously.
Sometimes it happens in tournament play as that serve goes long as well.
But these the teams don't shy away from each other.
It's not like it isn't football where you're worried about the manpower or the classification number.
The best teams play the best teams in the state.
Absolutely.
And a lot of these girls know each other because of club volleyball and across the state.
And some of them are on teams with players from other bigger teams.
So in volleyball it's a bit different.
Like you said, they don't really look at the classifications, define each other by that.
It's like who's going to step on the court that day and play the best game.
Madison Crum with her ninth kill of the match.
And that's a big win against Greenbrier, three one lead.
The Lady Panthers won two games with two matches, if you will, in the state tournament in five sets.
They beat Farmington in the quarterfinals and then the two time defending state champion Benton in the semifinals and five sets.
So they're no stranger to a comeback, but they've got some work to do.
Is that one's put down from Chloe Blessing.
I think you could hear that hit all the way from Springdale, the way she slammed that one down there.
A nice job to rally to keep that point alive.
And this right in the middle of the defense.
Greenbrier had some diving bodies but couldn't get to it.
She hits right in that perfect part of the palm.
That makes it just slam down super hard.
So three two is our score.
Greenbrier up here early is that one though.
The sails wide.
The service error for the Saints.
So you know you can't get carried away either right now because it's the third set here is talking about how the Saints could potentially win in this moment right here.
But Greenbrier could still pull it off.
You never know.
You got to stay focused one play at a time.
Still a lot of time left a lot of points to be had here.
And set number three.
Big swing there for crown.
No blocked at the net for Shiloh Christian.
Now play at the net.
Oh that's slim bodies and a double hit there from Shiloh Christian gives the Lady Panthers A52 lead.
Yeah that's what the Panthers really needed right there.
Five two Lilly Parker serving for Greenbrier.
Quick set for Shiloh.
Trying to catch Greenbrier napping.
But they're right there.
Great free ball though.
Here for Shiloh Christian chance to get their offense going.
But the block right there Chrome defensively comes up big for Greenbrier.
Yeah that was really huge for her.
She can also she's just a very versatile player.
And that's what I love about Madison Crum as the outside hitter.
She's athletic and she's capable of just hitting from different angles from the front.
And the back row.
From had 26 blocks coming in today, but Greenbrier gives it right back to Shiloh on the service area.
And Greenbrier is also really stepping it up on the blocking front as well.
And that's set.
A big swing from Crum catches some of that and hits the floor.
The big swing from the right hander from Greenbrier.
Yeah.
Madison Crum hit this right at a spot where Bella Banana could not get to it.
I'd be remiss not to mention some of the the masterminds behind these two programs.
As the assistant coaches, we always talk about the head coaches for Shiloh Christian, Angie Baker, Denise Bonanno, Holly Roberts, Maddie Thompson, and Jody Unger on the other side, Olivia Clayton and Carly Ferguson for Greenbrier.
As Shiloh Christian quickly puts one down.
Yeah, that was a nice one for Shiloh to really keep it in it, because Greenbrier has a nice lead going right now.
Shiloh wants to put this thing away.
Never won the team to linger around.
Let them get a little momentum.
That's exactly what Greenbrier is trying to do, though.
Here today.
Back row attack from Crum snuffed out that pass, though, just off the mark.
And that one's out.
So it is Greenbrier who has the momentum early here in set number three as they are doubling up the Saints eight four at the moment.
Shiloh is got to really keep control of the ball a little bit more.
If you don't want to have those careless errors in times like this, like you said, you don't want to have anyone linger around.
Back or attack can't be handled.
Or they're going to say no touch there.
From the Greenbrier defense.
And so the Panthers catch a break.
That one ruled long.
Yeah that was a little tough.
So it's nine four.
Largest lead at any point today for Greenbrier.
That attack goes long.
So it's ten for Shiloh Christian.
Yeah that was.
A little bit.
I was a little bit too long.
And they're making those constant mistakes that she got to kind of come together and trying try to stop that one ruled long.
Thanks.
You can see the wheels turning there for Coach Bowen saying maybe do I call a timeout.
Do I let them kind of play through this?
LOL.
Yeah, that time Greenbrier helps them out with the service area.
Exactly.
It seems like those kind of breaks in those momentum from the other team has been helping lately in this match.
Reese Jones on serve now for Shiloh.
A quick attack snuffed out though by the block.
Now a free ball here for Shiloh force.
Why not go back to her Chloe blessing the big swing.
Yeah, there she is.
She feels like she's getting kind of back in it now.
So Greenbrier had built a six point advantage.
But back to back points now for Shiloh.
Christian has a set ten six.
Chloe Blessing is someone that you if you're the other team, do not want to get her momentum because when she gets high and slams that one down, it's scary.
Set Southall.
That attack goes long.
So make it three straight now for the Saints.
Saints slowly pulling it back together and.
Ten seven.
So coach Bowden Stein pushing the right buttons to not call timeout.
Let his team kind of fight through it sometimes that's that's the mark of a really good coach.
Recognize where your team's at.
Pass is off the mark there for Greenbrier.
Now it's four consecutive points.
Now, what we just talked about with Coach Bowen and Coach Huff this has to face.
When does she maybe call a timeout to stunt the momentum for Shiloh?
Absolutely.
And going back to what you said about Coach Stein, it seems like he really trusts his team so much that he can let them figure it out.
And the fact that he doesn't really need to call that timeout just yet, because these players know what they're doing, and if they just let it play out, they can slowly get it together, which it seems like they've been doing it.
Keeping it closer now.
Really good.
Put down from the back line and Madison Crum, no matter where she's at on the floor, she's a force to be reckoned with.
Finds a hole and gets the kill.
Absolutely scary the way she can just spot where to send it.
Missouri State's getting a real good player next year.
So 11 eight.
Greenbrier has a lead in there on serve.
But the attack from Bryant into the net sends back over to the other side to Shiloh.
And now that'll be Audrey Pender about to serve here.
Senior middle blocker.
That'll definitely be missed next year.
Comes attack again in the middle.
Snuffed out and then put down from Layla Crayton.
It's a big play at the net to go over on two.
Sometimes the defense not ready for it.
She takes advantage.
Right over the head of one of the Greenbrier players.
They're.
Attack!
Coming right at us.
Protect your water bottles in your monitors.
You.
That was south all again.
The five nine senior second on the team in kills coming into the match.
And she's second on the team for the day.
It's her fourth put down for the Greenbrier senior.
Another player they can just really look on to outside of Madison Crum Mia South Hall also can just really keep an eye out on what's going on and a great communicate her as well.
Comes attacked tipped the net.
Quick set there from Shiloh Christian love the ball movement.
Great last time.
Went over on to mount a deep out the Greenbrier defense.
A great pass and a quick put down for Shiloh.
Yeah that was a nice one.
There.
Shiloh Christian really killing it on the kills here.
That's their 32nd of the day.
That's 11 more than Greenbrier.
Caroline Reed had that kill.
But the serve from Creighton into the net.
So the momentum stunted just for the moment.
You heard Coach Bowden saying saying we got to get over that little hump there.
In the waning moments, the crucial moments here, off set number three.
That one, though, catches too much tape.
And it's back to back points now for Greenbrier 1411 Lady Panthers stretching out that lead once again here in the third.
All right you want to have enough power.
But you gotta have the ball positioned in a certain way and order it so it doesn't hit that net.
Big swing there from Crum, snuffed out by the Shiloh defense.
That time, diving bodies all over the place keeps the point alive for Shiloh.
But a free ball here for Greenbrier.
Is a nice effort.
There by Shiloh.
Lady Panthers tried to tip, not there.
Blessing swing is blocked.
Really?
Good point here.
A rally going long.
Maybe the longest of the set so far.
The push attempt.
Perfectly done.
Sometimes you got to lose it.
Use a little finesse.
And that's exactly what blessing did.
That was incredible.
And Chloe Blessing is only a sophomore.
They got two more years with her, so I can't imagine the development that she has just left to do in her career at Shiloh.
It's going to be fun to watch.
That one though.
Catches just a little more than that.
Sometimes you got to be lucky.
Not good.
And that time it pays off for blessing.
Yeah, she seems like she's gotten a little bit of a hang of the ball movement there.
Back to Crum.
Kill for Madison.
That one caught just enough of the block.
Threw the timing off of the rest of the defense.
Point for Greenbrier.
Madison Crum still kind of trying to keep her team in it.
The way she positioned that one was also really nice.
Was just over the net.
She's just a really good eye of where to send things.
So it's 1513 Greenbrier, Lilly Parker on the service line.
Set the back row with that one right into the net from blessing.
So another point for the Lady Panthers.
Greenbrier still leads the set.
Really trying to stay in it here.
They don't want the Saints to run away with it just now.
A couple big swings from Greenbrier and it's snuffed out though.
Shiloh Christian trying to answer and they do Reese Jones with the put down.
That was a nice one by Jones there.
That would have it.
That was hard for Greenbrier to clap back at that one.
Really good play there.
Defensively that sets up the offense.
Sometimes all it takes is just to keep the point alive for one more opportunity.
And they take advantage.
1614 now Greenbrier with the lead.
I'm going to say that was a lift from Shiloh Christian.
That's going to give the point over to the lady pants for the first infraction like that.
We've seen.
Against the Saints today.
Ace for Greenbrier.
Lady Panthers starting to inch on that ever important first set by lead 1814.
I love the mentality that Greenbrier is having right now, because any team really not would see the score and be like, okay, well, Shiloh is running away with that.
Let's just get it over with.
No, they have not given up.
They're sticking with it.
They're sticking to their guns.
They want to win and they're not backing down at all.
And I love that from this team.
It shows a lot what they're what they're taught and the culture that Greenbrier has.
It just never give up.
No matter who you're playing up against.
Three ball here for Greenbrier chance to go on the offensive again.
That one though.
The big swing from Crossman off the mark and ends the run for the Lady Panthers.
Yeah it's the five state championship right here on Arkansas PBS Greenbrier trying to inch back into it.
Shiloh took the first two sets.
To attempt not there for Greenbrier.
Now Shiloh can set the offense.
Back row attack from Crum.
Nano there.
They'll get out of the back row and two teams to laying it all out there.
Really good point going here in Crumb's attack into the net.
Shiloh Christian just kept it alive long enough and forced the error.
That was a frustrating one by Crum.
When you have a long rally like that, it's easy to make those mistakes and fall into that fatigue.
You know, this game hasn't been, you know, still only three sets.
But these teams have been really just doing a lot of physical effort here.
Couldn't control the pass there in the serve.
So Reece Jones takes advantage of it.
The easy kill.
And Greenbrier is going to take a timeout the 1917 lead.
So we'll step aside with them.

We've got a good one brewing here in set number three of the five, a title game between Greenbrier and Shiloh Christian.
Panthers up 1817, but they trail in the column that matters most.
And that's in set.
They're down two.
Oh yeah.
This third set has been something a little bit interesting, a little bit different than the other ones we've had.
You know, Shiloh, Shiloh has had control over the first two, but Greenbrier has just, you know, sticking around, not giving up.
Big block there from Audrey Pender and evens up the match at 18.
It seems like anytime they need a big moment for the Shiloh Christian, they know they get the ball to Pender who's committed to Western Illinois.
Yeah, she's real clutch.
One of the two Division one players they have on this team here.
She'll play in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Another big deal there for Pender.
He spoke it into existence.
And just like that back to back points out of the timeout and Shiloh Christian continues their run.
That's five straight.
They've got a lead.
This thing is tied right here.
It's been this part of the set that's really come back to haunt Greenbrier all afternoon long.
In the first, second and third.
They get around this point that 1819 point mark.
And Shiloh just kind of makes that run.
And they're doing the exact same thing here in the third.
Six straight points for the Saints.
It's really hard to play against a Shiloh team, especially when they match you on a physical standpoint and an athletic standpoint as well.
Shiloh Christian is a whole lot more taller and can make those leaps, and that's a little bit harder for a smaller team to defend and block and as they said, that takes a lot more effort.
The block there again for the Shiloh defense.
And now the countdown.
It's begun four points away.
That one actually never got over the net.
Again just the ball.
Right there at the net.
The passing.
Not where it needs to be for Greenbrier and the Saints.
Put it down and coach Katie Huff going to take another timeout and we'll step aside with them.
Shiloh Christian three points away from a state title.

That shout out to Kai County, who's doing all the hard work taking the pictures today.
He's going to be here all afternoon long.
This is just the first of five Championship matches here in Hot Springs.
Shiloh Christian closing in on the first one, though, as they have scored eight straight points to take this 2218 advantage.
They've had over 100 kills or rather 100 attacks this year or this game.
That attack though into the net.
That's four hits on Shiloh Christian.
So Greenbrier finally able to stop that big run.
So eight straight points for Shiloh, though.
Now Greenbrier that'll be serving down 2219.
Needs to make a run here.
Very important for them to do this and to stop the Shiloh Christian team from running away with it.
Quicksand.
The push attempt does not catch the line.
And that was close.
But Pender couldn't does not get the call.
So back to back points for the Lady Panthers.
That was a little bit of a tough call for Pinder there.
We'll see.
Little too much power right on the line.
Pass a little off the mark there.
Now a chance for Greenbrier to set the offense.
They go to Crum on the back line.
Tim not there.
Quick set for Pender.
That one goes long, though.
Shiloh Christian asking for a tip.
They don't get the call.
Three straight for Greenbrier.
Gotta keep control of that one.
That's second one in this that we've seen right here.
The punter having a little bit too much out.
Greenbrier crowd starting to get into it.
Trying to will them to a set victory.
A quick attempt not there.
That attack goes long Marley Crossman struggled a little bit here in this third set ball.
Maybe amped up a little too much as that attack goes long.
Shiloh Christian with the point 2321.
Let's see what they do next here.
This has been some real interesting, the most interesting side of this game.
Jones serve for Shiloh and try to set it right in the middle.
The attack is too much Audrey Pender but put down championship point for Shiloh.
And it's getting loud in here.
It's been seven years since Shiloh Christian has won a state title, and for them to do it in this five a potentially is really incredible.
Losses the last two years in the championship match.
Chance to exorcize those demons the attack from Greenbrier.
Shiloh Christian is your five AA state champion.
And what a beautiful moment this is for this team.
Like you've said, they've come to the state championship several times and just weren't able to seal the deal and get it done.
And so for them to get that opportunity to do the dogpile, get the trophies, incredible.
The emotions certainly taking over the Shiloh Christian team that's been so close the last couple of years.
And they finally get to the top of the mountain.
Shiloh Christian sweeps Greenbrier.
We're back to trophy presentation.

And the trophy?
It's been handed out Shiloh Christian for the first time since 2017.
And is on top of the volleyball world in their classification as they sweep Greenbrier.
It looks a little dicey in that third sets, but a big, timely run.
But Shiloh Christian back in the winner's circle.
Yeah, that third set was something I wasn't sure if Shiloh could hold on to, but they definitely did and established their dominance not only at the state championship, but in their new classification, the five, which is really promising for them to see.
So close the last couple of years here in the state championship and Shiloh Christian on the short end and 22 and 23, but they finally get it done.
Let's take a look at some stats from today's championship match between Shiloh Christian and Greenbrier.
They started to distance themselves late.
You see the attacks with the kills.
38 to 22 was really the big difference as Shiloh offense got to go.
Yes, that was something they really had, especially they lean into their players like Audrey Pender, Chloe Blessing.
Those athletes were so fun to watch and were a big part of that offensive effort.
Let's take a look at the highlights from today's Championship match.
And these two teams were two so evenly matched really through the first 30 to 35, maybe 40 points of each set.
But it was that final stretch.
But those final 6 or 7 points that Shiloh Christian, and maybe it was the championship experience that really paid off and why they were able to finish that finish out not only the third set, but sets one and two to complete the sweep.
Yes, the championship experience and also the strength of schedule they've had.
I know that's not really a thing in college volleyball like it is, or rather high school volleyball, but it really helps on a confidence standpoint, and it's important for them to out in the fun to watch.
I think it's important to point out the success of Greenbrier this year.
A state runner up is obviously not what they came for, but the future is bright and they went five and 22 last year in the state finals this year.
And as Cierra mentioned earlier in the broadcast or junior high teams also went undefeated.
So the future bright for coach Katie Huff and company there at Greenbrier, this is just championship number one.
We got plenty more.
Four more lined up in the next one's coming up and it's a big one.
Bentonville and Conway the six AA state volleyball championship first serve come up just a little bit after 1:00.
So keep the channel locked in this loser remote because it's going to be a big day.
Conway fell in the finals last year.
They're looking for their first championship trophy in about six years.
Stick around.
