President Jimmy Carter came to Dallas 14 years after leaving the White House. He was interviewed for KERA's public affairs program "Between the Lines." It aired on Feb. 9, 1995. He was in town to discuss his then-latest book, "Always a Reckoning." It was the former president's first and only collection of poems. In it, he discussed growing up in Georgia, his family, and his political life.
