Well, Frisbee today, I'm so glad you're here, because we're gonna be learning about some special letters.

- Oh, okay.

- These letters are called consonant diagraphs.

- Oh, what's that?

Tell me about it.

- Well, a consonant diagraph is made up of two consonants that work together to make one sound and today we're going to be learning about the diagraphs.

SH, CH, TH and WH.

- Oh, okay, - And in fact, when we write the sh sound, I'll be using an S and an H to make that sound.

When I make the ch sound, I use a C and a H. When I write the sound th I use a T and an H. - Th.

And when I write the wh sound it's W H. - Wh.

- Good, you are good at making those diagraph sounds.

- Thanks.

- Well, I have a mystery box that's full of items that begin with these sounds.

I'm gonna reach into my mystery box, I'm gonna pull something out, we're gonna listen for that first sound, that on set sound and we're gonna decide where it goes.

We're gonna put it with the diagraph it belongs to you.

- Yes, ma'am.

- Alright, let's see what we got.

The first item I have in here is chicken.

- Ch.

- Ch, ch, chicken.

Frisbee, I know this is probably you're-- It smells so good.

Shell starts with sh which is SH.

Right now, I have sheep and shell that start with that.

- I don't think it was cooked properly.

- I'm trying to cut back.

- I think you've met your quota for the week on eating shoes.

I've heard you're on like seven pairs for the week.

- I'm sorry.

- Maybe if you bought me a pair every now and again.

All right, next, I have a thermometer, a thermometer-- Can we try it?

- What's my temperature?

- Perfect temperature of four, good.

A thimble's something you put on your thumb when you're sewing.

- A diagraph up is the beginning of a word.

- It is, it's when two letters work together to make a new sound.
