Do you know what a solar eclipse is?
It's where the moon passes between the sun and earth perfectly, creating a gigantic shadow on the earth.
Let me show you.
Let's pretend this banana lollipop is the sun.
And this blueberry lollipop is the moon.
And you're the earth, okay?
So we have the sun right here, and we have the blueberry lollipop coming through.
And right there, do you see how you can barely see the banana lollipop?
That's a solar eclipse.
It's a gigantic shadow that you'll be under.
There's a 360 degree sunset.
The crickets start chirping because they think it's nighttime.
It is quite the sight to see.
And this solar eclipse is coming through Arkansas on April 8, 2024.
And what better way to let my friends and family know about the solar eclipse than a song about it?
So here we go.
Songs away, songs away.
Songs away.
Let it out with music.
See what you would say Open your mouth and songs away.
Songs away.
Songs away.
Songs away.
(upbeat music) Have you ever seen a total solar eclipse?
There's a big one coming.
Let me give you some tips.
Bring UV sunglasses.
You may think it's the apocalypse.
But it's not.
It's just the great Arkansan solar eclipse.
Every now and then the moon gets in the way of the sunshine that cast a giant shade.
That's the time when people congregate to see this solar eclipse and appreciate the massive size of the solar system, the ebbs and flows of the cosmic rhythm, the magic of this life we're living.
It's easy to see when the sun's eclipsin'.
It's a bucket list experience.
So cool and curious to be inside an eclipse.
Have you ever seen a total solar eclipse?
There's a big one coming, let me give you some tips.
Set your alarm.
You may think it's the apocalypse.
But it's not.
It's just the great Arkansan solar eclipse.
Every solar eclipse has a trajectory and we call it the path of totality.
Where the moon covers up the sun perfectly, and if you're in that spot, then you get to see a sunset that goes all around you the sun's corona will astound you.
Slightly cooler and surround you.
Arkansas, it's coming for you.
Mark your calendars for the 8th of April, 2024.
We'll have front row tickets for the great Arkansan total solar eclipse.
And it's coming pretty soon so let me give you some tips.
Making an in hole camera.
