(soft music) (chicks chirping) - Ah, I love the rain, don't you?
Isn't it amazing?
These clouds hold all this water and then share it with you, me, and the plants too.
Hey, this reminds me of one of my favorite stories, let's go find some cover and I'll share it with you, come on.
The story we'll be reading today is called Love Makes Everything Better by Faith Ford, a six year old from Longzura, Arkansas.
She won the Arkansas PBS Writer's Contest this year.
Here we go.
Love makes everything better, by Faith Ford.
One day a bird was flying high.
(bird chirping) See, I told you that was a really cool story.
The dirt gave the seeds a really big hug, and the clouds shared their water, just like what happened today.
Wait a minute, is that what I think it is?
(birds chirping) Whoa, the sun's come out.
Saw that the clouds gave more than enough water and is drying off the extra.
All thanks to love.
And if the sun is more than willing to help, I think I am too.
Would you like to help me make sure that these seeds grow big and strong?
Come on, come and join me.
(upbeat music) I just love gardening.
It's okay, the sun's out.
One day you're going to blossom into some beautiful flowers.
Oh it's a lovely day out.
