Where are we running?
Hi everyone.
Today we're celebrating our Arkansas PBS Writers' Contest winners.
With us is a first-place winner from kindergarten, the amazing Solomon Webber with the story he wrote and illustrated called "Solomon's Adventure."
Solomon is six years old and he loves traveling and enjoys animals, especially his dog, Tonka.
Now introducing the amazing Solomon Webber.
(applause) - Hi, my name is Solomon.
I'm going to read this book for you.
(applause) - Hello.
- Hi.
- I absolutely love your story and I have to ask.
Solomon, in that story, was that you?
- Yeah.
- So it was you in this story going on all these adventures?
- Mhmm.
- Oh, that's so cool.
See, I think we have like the same interest.
I love animals.
I tried to save some animals earlier.
I tried to save some sheep.
But apparently, they didn't really need my help.
But they were really, really friendly.
Would you like to come meet some of my sheep friends?
- Yeah.
- Amazing.
Okay, well I have my compass right here.
I think we are about... - 10 feet.
- About 10 clicks away.
Okay, let's go on an adventure.
(sheep bleating) See the sheep?
- [Solomon] Yes.
- [Mister Andre] Yeah, let's walk with them.
(upbeat music) (sheep bleating) - [Solomon] I go through a shortcut.
(upbeat music) (sheep bleating) - Baa.
- It's crazy over here.
They just run away.
(upbeat music) (sheep bleating) - [Kids] "Gobbledy Book!"
