(upbeat music) - Hi everyone.
Today we're celebrating our Arkansas PBS Writer's Contest winners.
With us today is the first place winner from the first grade, the great Emmanuel Zhuang with a story he wrote and illustrated called "The Creepy Castle & the Knights".
Emanuel's seven years old and lives with his pet goldfish.
He wanted a dog, but his mom said no.
He enjoys math and speaks Mandarin Chinese.
Now introducing the Great Emmanuel Zhuang.
(audience applauding) - Hi, my name is Emmanuel.
And my book is about the creepy castle and the knight.
(mysterious music) (growling) (crowd cheering) - Hello.
It's so wonderful to meet you.
Your story was fantastic.
- Thank you.
- So in the story, you have this like, very, very creepy, very, very scary, scary castle.
I love it.
It's such a creative idea.
How did you come up with it?
- I just thought and thought and thought.
I just kept thinking because I didn't know what should I write about.
It was kind of hard.
But then I just said, "How about just a creepy castle?"
- And you see this castle behind us?
Do you think this one looks kind of creepy?
You think there might be a monster inside of it?
- It doesn't look that creepy.
- Doesn't look that creepy.
You don't think it could- - Also doesn't even look like a castle that much.
(Andre laughing) - That's fair.
I don't know.
I'm not, I'm not convinced.
Do you think we should take it down before it comes alive?
- Okay.
- Okay.
Yeah, okay.
Let's go do that.
Let's go do that.
(dramatic music) (castle roaring) (both yelling) (dramatic music continues) - [Children] Gobbledy Book.
