Hola!
I'm Courtney and I'm here today on Rise and Shine to help you learn some Spanish words and phrases that you can use to introduce yourselves to people in Spanish.
I'm so excited to learn with you.
(knocking on door) I wonder who that is.
Hola!
Hola!
Hola!
Hey, guys.
What do you think hola could mean?
Yeah, it means hello.
Hi.
Can you repeat after me?
Hola.
Muy bien, very good.
Me llamo Courtney.
All right, this time what do you think me llamo Courtney could mean?
Yeah, it means my name is Courtney.
Muy bien.
Can you repeat after me?
Me llamo and then say your name.
Great job.
Let's put it all together.
Me llamo Courtney.
Good.
I hope you said your name and not Courtney.
¿Cómo te llamas tú?
¿Cómo te llamas tú?
Me llamo Lucy.
Me llamo Lucy.
Muy bien.
Ok, now, what do you think ¿Cómo te llamas tú?
could mean?
Yeah, it means what's your name.
Repeat after me.
¿Cómo te llamas tú?
Very good.
Let's try it from the top.
¿Cómo te llamas tú?
Muy bien.
Alright, this time, Lucy and I are going to start over, and I want you to see if you can follow along and understand what we're saying in Spanish.
Ready, Lucy?
(knocking on door) (door creaks) Lucy: Hola.
Courtney: Hola.
Me llamo Courtney.
¿Cómo te llamas tú?
Me llamo Lucy.
Muy bien.
Way to go, everybody.
Thank you so much for being here with us today on Rise and Shine and practicing your Spanish with us.
Today we learned how to say our name, me llamo, and then your name.
And we learned how to ask, What is your name?
¿Cómo te llamas tú?
Very good.
Muy bien.
We also learned how to say hola.
So I guess that means we should probably learn how to say goodbye, right Lucy?
Lucy: Mm, hmm.
Courtney: Yeah.
So to say goodbye, we're going to say adiós.
Good.
Can you repeat after me?
Adiós.
Great job.
You know, Lucy, if you want to say goodbye in the classroom to your teachers, you might say something a little more formal like hasta luego.
Can you say hasta luego?
Buen trabajo.
Good job.
Good work, guys.
All right.
We have had a blast today with you and we hope to see you again soon.
on Rise and Shine.
Adiós.
(upbeat music) Ah, ooo, ooo.
It's time to rise and shine.
